When Should I?

ok i have grown a plant for about a month now. i wanted it to flower so i put it in my garage and have been giving it 12/12 light/night for about 2 days. How long will it be befor i start seeing pre-flowers so i can i.d. it as male or female?

As for you question. It will need to be complete and utter darkness for 12 hours a day. Even the smallest little bit of light will slow the sexing process.
My 1st crop took 7 days before I could see any signs.

one - two weeks

make sure they are in complete darkness during this time 12/12

what kind of light are you using

i am using an old florecent light i found in my garage. it works like a charm though.
