When should I flip?

Here are my plants at 29 days from sprout. They’re growing very rapidly. Transplanted from cup to 3 gallon pot at 14 days. They already filled the 3 gallon pot 14 days later. Going to up pot to 7 gallons maybe even 10 depending on what I can afford and how quickly it can be here. I topped both plants on day 27 from sprout. Topped every node that was at the top sight, left plant 8 tops and right plant 4 tops. They are both showing what look to be female preflowers, still hard to tell. They have only been in veg for 2 weeks. Last pics are 2 weeks ago at day 14. I know I can flip at any time but what would you guys do? I sort of want to let the plants veg out for 4 more weeks to hit 8 weeks from seed but I’m kind of scared the plants will out grow my tent during flower. My tent is a 4x4x7

They’re def showing preflowers. No pistils yet but def showing sex. I took a look with my microscope and it even looked like there may have been a trichome or 2 around the preflowers (could have been tripping

The first 2 weeks were only in FFOF and watered with fish and kelp organic fertilizer and plain filtered water. The last 2 weeks in the 3 gallon pots was a mix of FFOF, Malibu compost, EWC, perlite and a bit of dr earth 4-4-4 all purpose. Still rotating my watering every week I feed the fish and kelp fert and the rest of the days I water with plain filtered water. It took 1 month to feed both plants 5 gallons of water. The stock on both plants is about as big around as my pinky

No pistils are you sure it wasn't a nutsack?

Those still have a while to veg imo. I would rather over veg a little bit than have wasted space in a tent.

This is my 4th grow. I know what calyx look like but never had a nutsack pop up. They all look like calyx to me. But I could be wrong. They aren’t round they’re pointy. I really hope they’re girls because the mix of soil i made wasn’t particularly cheap lol

You'll know for sure in a few days then. If you get a male you don't have to waste the soil. I would definitely reuse it. That stuff is indeed expensive. But ya they have a bit to veg still. Just keep spreading the canopy open and keeping it even in the meantime. If you end up overveging you can just prune off some branches.

That’s what i was thinking. Not quiet sure how to reuse soil. The plant on the left is already growing 16 tops, not including the side branching. I’m going to order a trellis with 3 inch squares so I can cover the complete grow tent. Maybe even set up a second one just before flower to get the maximum out of the plant I can.

Also depends if your going to fill tent, you'll want smaller plant to be a bit more bigger before flip, i would veg a little longer.

Which at rate they are growing will only be a week or two lol.

Love the mainlining and Lst on the big one, she's going to be a beauty! :weed:

Mainlining the plant on the right wasn’t my intention, but it’s growing the side branches very long. If I don’t keep pulling them back the plant would already be close to 2 feet tall. I want to veg for 6 weeks I think and since they’ve only vegged for 2 weeks I think I’ll see how they look in 2 maybe 3 weeks and decide. I’ll keep updates going, I have 4 videos already made on my phone.. just need to upload them to YouTube lol

Because I know what preflowers are. They grow on the side of the side branching between the branch and stigma (I think that’s what they’re called)

They haven’t shown pistils but they started forming a few days ago

When you see the white hairs(pistils), those are preflowers. You are looking at the calyx where the flower starts forming from.

That’s the word. I knew it was an S. I really hope they’re female I would be heartbroken if they weren’t! But only time will tell. The plant on the left I’ve grown another seed I got from that plant. It was completely different(tall and lanky) this one is short and bushy so I’m hoping it’s a girl and hopefully turns purple
