does matter if the bulb is soft white or bright white? I figured if wattage and lumens are the same it does not. Not sure though.

got all mine from lowes...remember keep them lights close to your plants..hold your hand between the light and your plant..if it burns you it will burn your plant

So can I get a 6500k blue spectrum at home depot or walmart, or are they a little harder to find?
I got two 5 packs for $5 bucks each at costco. Easy way to tell what bulbs to look at via the packaging is DAY LIGHT, then make sure you verify the lumen output. There are many that are only 5000k...HD and Lowe's where I am did not have any 6500k bulbs. Costco did.

You can get 6500k CFL bulbs at lowes.
K, I'm adding cfl to my veg room where I have T5s, I just don't know much about the specs of the lights. I was at home depot today and picked up a 4pk 100watt equivalent/23watts used, brightness -1600lumens, light appearance -3500K. I take it I got the wrong light...

2100-2700 CFLs
5000-6500 CFLs

You can get 2700k and 5000k at walmart.

You can also get socket adapters so you can plug the lights into a power strip.

Dont always read the "day light" or "Warm White" thing on the box, flip it to the back and look for a specific temp.

The bulbs color range is a bit different than that of the veg and flower spectrum.

Dont know which color they are, but one of the ranges is from 2100 to 2900, which is bad if ur looking for a bulb at 2700.
