When is the best time to take clones?

I'm ready to take clones today and today I'm also going to water. I'm going to top my 3 girls and I'd be sick if I lost one. So I'm wondering, should I take them before watering, after watering, or water today and take them tomorrow? Is there any rule to this?

Do the clone whenever the mother doesn't need water. If you have just water it, than i would wait at least 20mins before taking clones.

Only take them during a full moon. And walk in a circle counter clockwise around the plant with one finger in your belly button before you take the cutting.

it works if you try it - planting seeds as the moon is in its last phases of waxing will have much higher and quicker germination rates - this has been proved for thousands of years !!! if the moon is strong enough to pull the oceans around the planet im sure it can help push some water into a germinating seed and pull it skyward ..... over the years i have moved from sceptical to basically planning all planting/harvesting by the moon - veg and herb ....

You can take a clone whenever with alright results...but taking a clone straight off the bottom of the main stalk, that is a little thick at the bottom and that you have to cut a few leaves off of, and watering prior to cloning is also a good idea.

and I don't see myself waiting for moon cycles. I am fine with waiting with the seed in the ground for the full moon to hit if that is what it takes.
