This may work for you, however stating that type of gardening is the wrong way to go about things. Definitely those are not optimal conditions, and getting optimal conditions is what we as gardeners try really hard to do.
Look up how photosynthesis, respiration, and transpiration work. None of the above are temp dependent.

Like I said earlier, temp is just a preference. It does not affect how plants grow as long as they remain above freezing and below 100.

Doesn't mean anyone else has to do it, but doesn't make it wrong either.

Says the person who has not one picture up Op could you post a couple pics of your cold grown plants i bet i got you beat lol i even pushed it longer then usual in hopes that them few days in between with decent temps plant would take off but it never did so lots of trimming un joined up buds

Pic 1 turns into pic 2 at 80 degrees day 70-71 at night. With hopefully the root zone near 68-72 degrees.

I agree with anon. Just did some research to be sure and it is a fact that temp effects photosynthesis.
photosynthesis is the process in which light, water and carbon dioxide are converted into oxygen and sugar. Most plants rely on photosynthesis to provide the sugar they need for growth and energy. The rate of photosynthesis is greatly affected by temperature. Most plants are known to grow well within a certain temperature range, and if the temperature is too far outside this range, photosynthesis may completely stop.

Temp is the bottom line the driving force of all plants, temperature and plant hormones, share the plants Gene's network.. temps influence hormonal change ?? as in seasons etc Also
Genetic mechanisms in bedded in the DNA that plants use to detect and respond to vital environmental Cues like when to germinate ?? if your theory was correct then wouldn't matter right i mean germinate that seed @ 40 degrees or +1 degree or take that clone @ just above freezing or boiling point it should root

What i think you should do is forget about temps how you see it and google abiotic and biotic plant responses

looks real dam healthy nice job

Here a plant which got 3 - 4 days a week Blue skies sun beating down at it but the problem was morning temps - 4 day time temps 12 - 18 pretty much through out grow i can honestly say i would be lucky,,, she got 3 weeks of proper temps and yes buds were small compared to her sister as in bud size ,,,,,,,,,,

Which i Light dep back in july when temps and everything was perfect Can you see the difference ?? i mean the Big tree should of had buds from stalk to tips like her sister oh the buds were there but colder temps screwed me
PS new strain that obviously needs light dep in July / Aug but being new strain had to let her do it her self she is made of last pic is light Dep in july big difference

All my plants for this grow were sprouted in 40-50 degrees. No issues. My oldest plant is 9 days and pushing it's 3rd node just fine with the 4th working it's way out just fine. It's sativa dominant. Where people run into problems, is when the other factors are not properly addressed.

That is from seed. Keep in mind, yours are indica and more than likely better genetics. These are a second back cross of Jack Herer and BB from an unknown seedbank. Not stabilized. Also under a T5.

When do you think it is too cold in the grow room? I don't normally have problems but I am growing inside my house in my basement where it's really cold, I do have heat down there but it's normally very cold, lights on its 70-72 and lights out normally 58-60 but it has dropped to 55 this week as it's been so could outside, I'm currently flowering and I am 15 days into it, everything looks good no plants look bad at all, I am also running a dehumidifier now to lower the hum and also increase the heat of the room without having to run a space heater that doesn't really heat much anyways, what's your thoughts on this, will my yield lack any? I've had previous very cold runs and have had a few plants have issues, I'm currently growing about 20 different strains all from feminized seeds
The answer to this is strain specific, as above^^^, an indica is more cold tolerant than a sativa, as for hybrids, grow them as for heat loving sativas, because once temps fall out of the zone, either too hot or too cold the plant falls dormant until the desired temp returns, meanwhile mold has a party.
Over the years I've been studying this closely, and until I learn anything different I see it this way.

There are 2 temps the air temp, and the root or soil temp, once the soil temp has fallen too cold real shit can happen, but this really depends on the genetics of the plant whether it continues or not, cold air temps, below 6c/54F can be tolerated for a few hours but so long as the soil temp is tolerable the plant will live ..the same with too hot, anything above 30c/84F, the plant sleeps

it was easier for me to allocate zones to my temps
20c-30c 64f-84 green zone .. good
10c-20c 45f-64f yellow zone .. poor
0c-10c 32f- 50f red zone ... danger

these are air temps as in most cases the soil temps are a few degrees warmer than the air

one clue can be the red leaf stems, red leaves or main stalks that can give an indication of room temps being too cold

good luck
