Outdoor they start flowering as the days shorten. Some strains are more photoperiod sensitive and are already flowering, some take longer. It will start soon .

Ronny,

Go look up what your latitude you are at. Then go look up sunrise sunset times for that latitude. When days get to about 12 hours long, then you will see flowering beginning within the next two weeks.

Everything will start long before the 12/12 date. Mine is the 26th of Sept(damn military time screwed me up). That's when plants and pretty much everything finishes,

Should add the 12/12 date doesn't take into account twilight.

i live in san diego and already have preflowers on all my plants....cut back on nitrogen and hit them hard with p + k....i gave mine super phosphate 0-45-0 and potassium sulfate 0-0-50 1/4 cup per plant... mine are about 6.5 feet tall so if yours are smaller than cut back...thats basically the same as the shooting powder you are going to use....give it time and frequent watering....you should show flowers by august....this is the simplest way to make any plant start to flower right now......bought my ferts by the pound for about 1.50 a pound at my local garden store...call around...watermelon kush...G-13...white russian are the strains ive done that on this year...all plants are outdoors in directly in the ground...look at my profile pic

It depends on where you live. I live in the pretty much the northern most part of the us and I get a ton of sun in the late summer. Even september 1st Im clocking about 14.5 hours of visible light a day. I have to keep the girls in a greenhouse at the end to let them finish naturally. If you are in a dense field of vegetation, (i.e. forest) night comes much faster than what the internet says for the "length of day".
