I always eye ball harvest day. My feed day/week schedule starts day 1 as the first day the lights kick on after minimum 12 hours of dark

I'm a big fan of K.I.S.S. I read earlier about just using promix and Jacks Classics 20/20/20, from beginning to end, which sounds hard to mess up, so I think that's where I'll start.

ive only heard one person in the history of ever..besides my highschool science teacher..use the word k.i.s.s. i also only know of one person who recommends jack (not talking bad about it, just saying) his name is ub..no the other uncleb.. if you wanna do that, fine, but your limiting yourself. k.i.s.s. is..forgive my language..its just dumb.

But hey, if you can prove me wrong, I'm all ears. Organic sounds better for a lot of reasons, honestly, it just sounds like a lot of "moving parts" that I could mess up.

you can be an organic "extremist" or as little as you want. personally i throw all the stems and fans into my dirt with the root ball, till it up, water it. i worry most about soil tilth as i feed every water. let sit (if yiu want) i add a lil bone meal.. good shit. my grows are now fully automated, so its not necessarily any more work.

ahh, the 15/9 schedule I do solely because I like to stick some clones outside, and if I don't have them on a relatively short day (for vege that is) they flower as soon as I stick them outside (like in june)
So the 15/9 is just so they don't freak out when they go outside.
if you are looking to just save money on electricity usage, there are some members that do that here, but it's a different schedule, I think they break upthe night with an hour of light... something like that..
I don't really have many indicas, most of my strains are sativa dom hybrids.
right now I have only one indica, and that's the elephant tranquilizer from Bodhi seeds... got me some nice lookin leaves on that strain AND I got a squatty-ass male too, gonna use that for some pollen chuckin
but yea, if you do mess with your light schedule, do it slowly, some strains I've seen flower at 17 hrs of light!
Its called the gas lamp method. 12 hrs on. 5 1/2 hrs off. 1 hr on. 5 1/2 hrs off. Repeat cycle. It will save electricity while still keeping plants vegging and healthy. It the way I have vegged for years.

ha totally, I heard that term a ways back for the first time, and thought people were trying to light their gardens with like coleman camping gas lanterns.. which actually didn't sound too horribly insane (albeit way inefficient), so i'm thinking of the extra co2 being made and the spetrum of the lantern and such...
Ahhh yes... the life of a stoner.

I believe it is actually called gas lantern instead of gas lamp. Here is a quick read on the method. There is more to it than just the veg cycle. Decreasing light periods in flower are also involved.
