When do plants flower in BC Canada

Hi I'm in the okanagan and I was wondering when plants start to flower outdoor? I understand the photo period idea. But if you look at the sunrise/sundown charts here in BC doesnt move to 12 hours until later in the fall....

Scott, Don't let a frost or 2 worry you. I'm a little north of you & don't usually harvest until the end of Oct. Pic to the left is Ultimate Purple beside a 2L bottle grown organically. Didn't like & won't grow again.

I'm also in the Okanagan. The photo-period plants I grow start flowering every year toward the end of july/early august. Basically they flower in august and september so there's not much harvesting going on until late sept or early october for your typical strains. You can grow auto's and be harvesting in august, I have a few going right now that I doubt will even make it to August.
In my experience, you don't even want to grow plants to the end of October unless they are in a greenhouse. The cold weather and lack of good sunshine pretty much stops all progress in the plant. I've been trying 'fast' versions of certain strains and they definitely help by cutting off a week or two of flowering time and I've actually harvested some in early September.

Thanks for the replies. I'm still indoors in veg and thinking about sticking them outside July 1st what do you guys think? It's also really really cold still

I start germinating every year on 4/20. This year I put my plants out in the 2nd week of May but normally I wait until the May long weekend (around the 24th or so.

This year has been a weird one for me. I've been so busy in life that I havent been able to find anyone to help me smuggle them out of my apartment either do they are just sitting. I'll post a pic tell me what you guys think. Apparently they are death bubba clones

So will you be leaving them in pots or putting them into the ground? If you're keeping the pots, make sure they aren't in direct sun or you'll be watering those at least 2 or 3 times a day when it gets hot. The plants look fine and easily big enough to put outside.

okay I'm really confused here! I live in northern wisconsin and average harvest for us (and I mean when it's actually ready not when I feel like taking them) is mid oct.
All my plants are throwing pistils right now but that is just the pre flowers ...they wont be in full flower for another month to a month and a half.

I'm kinda shocked that most are saying to take them as early as they do. Is this because you guys are growing super short flowering strains or are you taking them prematurely? Like I said I'm confused because it seems you guys should be harvesting mid to late oct for your average strains?

I am a little north of you ganga, Other side of the border. Have five plants outside, no sign of wanting to go into flower yet. I anticipated having to finish them off in the shed.

That makes more sense. I was going to say I'm not in full swing flower until mid August
