When do I switch to flowering fertilizer?

Im a so cal grower and I noticed little hairs on my 2 purple power plants. They are outside in the ground and 6 feet tall. I can barely see the little hairs and my question is when do I switch from vegatative fert to flowering fert? Please help

Sorry, but it really is that simple.

What you're seeing are preflowers. You'll know when it begins to actually flower as fat calyxes and pistils will begin popping up everywhere.

No damage would be done, however, by changing nutes a couple weeks early or a couple weeks late. A lot of people continue to use veg nutes, at lower doses, as long as halfway through flowering.
