When do i begin flowering?

Hello everyone,

These plants are approx 6 weeks old, give or take a day. I started them from seedlings in a coco coir mix, however I found I had a lot of dying seedlings and switched to soil once they were looking quite dead. I then used the wrong soil (lol) so the seedlings got even more sick. So it was about 2 weeks in when I started in a nice soil using fox farm nutrients. Anyways, don't mind the dirty grow room, I just built today. I am using CFLs 6000k for the veg, and going to switch to the 2700k for flower. I have been following the fox farm nutrient guide, so far so good. Just wondering when I can start flowering.. Considering my box isn't that big and I don't know the strain is an early flower better? Also when I switch to flower mode am I changing the temp as well as the 12 on 12 off lighting? They are in 68 degrees now and have been the entire time. I don't know if they are male or female, I cannot tell. I hear if I begin flowering I will notice right away.. I enjoy constructive criticism ;)

Hey Mitch,
Looking pretty good. Glad they made it despite the rough beginning.

You don't have too much headroom there...so that should be the deciding factor regarding when to go 12/12. Very indica looking so you can figure they will at least double in height during stretch. So maybe give them another week or so before switching. That's my thinking. It;s quite a hassle having a plant get too large in bloom. Nice going...

Well I dunno if its just the pictures, but they look a bit dark, I would ease up on the nitrogen especially if you want to flower soon. Keep in mind they will double in size during flowering so if you don't have the space, now may be a good time. you dont need to change temps just the light cycle but a bit cooler would be better if its possible. you will figure out which ones are males pretty quick - look for long white hairs coming out at the nodes, males will not do that. It takes about a week or so, and if you see pods develop, get that plant out of there ASAP

Unknown strain and a box that small. Yea I would be flowering those asap. The temperature with lights off will be the ambient temperatures in the home. Try not to let it get super cold!
