when can i flower? i need to get rid of my grow cabnet asap ?

i have a scorg screen above all my plants
250W mh got a hps bulb waiting ...
When will i be able flower my plants
im going 'big budda haze'
i have 3 plants
my first plant is 10in tall and starting to spread across my screen .
my second plant is about 8in and is just touching my screen
my third plant in only about 5-6in and is nowere near my screen
when will i be able to start flowering ? as soon as possiable ? could you tell me how many weeks?
im hoping to pull about 2-3OZ dry ? is this an imaginary number or relistic ?
btw the reson for taking my grow room down is i need my garage where it is for a garage party in about 2 months .. 'about'
 
...you can flower your plants whenever you want to. Most people flower their plants with a projected height in mind. A good indica dominate strain will grow twice it's size by harvest...sativas can grow 3 times the size.

these strains are 90% sativa . would it be okay to put them into flower now .. will my smallest plant even use the screen ?
 
yes you most certainly can start flowering today. and the smallest plant probly will touch the screen. you say its 6 inches now, so most likely, with good growing conditions it will be somewhere around 12-20 inches. a dominant sativa strain will stretch alot druing flowering.
 
oh, and sativas run a pretty long flowering period, most people recomend atleast 12 weeks of flowering. and 9 weeks for indicas.
2-3 ounces is very acheivable if you feed the plants properly and have good growing conditions. i average about 2 oz a plant under my 150W HPS, and i start flowering at 8 inches.

wicked i might keep it in veg for about another 2 weeks , as mh growing will ovously be better then flower right lol ? will my grow be reduced dramitacily because i started the flowering extremely early ?

thats why i wanted to start flowering asap... is there no point at like 10 weeks which i could harvet or will there be pathetic amount of THC . and its just worth waiting the extra couple weeks
 
yea, the longer you vegg the more potential bud you can have. the bigger the plant, the more bud sites(in most cases, this is assuming the plant is not stretched like crazy lol)
when you start flowering as early as your plants are, they will take a while to start flowering. the plants will matrue(thus still growing as if in veg cycle) untill they show sex, this usually take about a week or 2 depending on genectics.

well at 10 weeks you will most likely have a good amount of bud, the last few weeks of flowering is when the taste, and most of the thc/canabanoids start to form. its is worth waiting the extra few weeks, but if it comes down to it, premature bud will still get you stoned lol
just wont be as good as it could of been.

do you personaly reckon i should start flowering now or veg for a few weeks at what light cycle 20/4,18/6? . or use hps at 18/6 then in a few weeks switch to 12/12? thanks so much for replies nobody ever does ha +REP

ah okay cheerrs man great help (Y) .. really appriecated think im going to give a few more weeks for veg .. maybe let my smallest plant just touch the screen then flower .. ill just have to move my plants indoors for one night when i need the garage or use a hell of alot of air freshners and odor control ha ..

iv had the same problems with threads, so i try to help everybody i can =]
but yea vegging for another few weeks would probly be best, iv always thought of it like this, if there is a 13 year old girl (premature plant) and shes gets pregnant (starts flowering) her baby is most likely going to be weak, and have health problems throughout its life(less potential).
and as for the party, you could just make sure you have the night schedule (lights off) around the time you need the room. and you can stick the plants ina cubbord or any other light proof place for the night and they will be fine=]

do you know if i have like 12/12 would it be bad to say put them into darknedd for 24 hours if needed or maybe just 18housrs of darknedd instead of the 12. would this cause hermies , because i know if they get light in there darkperiod the become hermie but if they get dark in there light period would this affect it at all if you get me ?
so could i just have the lights of for 24hrs then back to 12/12 the next day ?
 
yea you could do that. i have had to keep my night 18 hours off a few times due to plumbers and landlords lol
i cannot say that this doesnt cause hermie forrsure, but it wokred perfectly fine with my 8 plants =]
IMO the plants will just think its a cloudy stormy day, and continue normally.
