What's your top yield with LED?

This is me...and that's with running close to 2400 watts from the wall on just lights alone. Without a heater running, I cant hit 70F in my room.
Also me, cooler basement. Added a 1200w oil radiator and seeing better growth with the higher temps. I think I need to veg with a hps or something to add heat to the room. Definitely affecting my “energy” savings. Otherwise happy with my lights but the heat issue was not one I thought of before spending the big bucks on lights.

The same problem.
I'm thinking in use just one 650W led light and 2*250 sodium to rise the Temps.
We n.eed some I+D for led growers with low temps

I'm running the HLG-320-R for flower and the HLG-135-B for veg for my last 4 crops.

My yields have been all over the place in the last year, and it's all me. First yield I got 11.4 oz, second yield I got 7 usable ounces and almost 7 oz of moldy bud (first time ever.) I pulled back the power and distance and the next two I got 6 & 8ozs respectively. The chaos of yields in 2020 caused me to get the Korona app for my phone (can't afford a $300-500 quantum meter.) I tuned the flower light to 1200-1500ppfd and Turkey Day harvest, I just pulled 12.4oz with 4oz of good trim.

I could use the estimates from the web with my old HID and pull a good 7-8 ounces in my space ( at 2'X3'X7' it could use another 12" in every direction at least, but I need a new house for that.) The LED IMO needs to be metered, its just too damned hard to estimate by eye.

When my old 450hps died, I gained almost 24" of vert space. In the last year I've increased ventilation, cleaned, repainted and rebuild the entire flower closet and added water proof epoxy floor (this week) to it. I'm going to try and get my plants to about 40" tall at this harvest, which in my old HID space would have been baking the tops with no more room to move the light up. The tallest I could ever get with the HID was around 36" tall plants and then I started to run out of space to go up with the light.

So I'm going to utilize that space and have been running a 9 week veg with 8-top mainlining and lollipopping per plant. In short 2020 has sucked and I'm still tuning this light setup, but I'm getting close to just knowing where the light goes. Probably 2 or 3 more harvests of intense metering and monitoring of my light and VPD and then I'll be back on autopilot, hopefully with a much higher average yield than I'm used to.

The b-spec, well it's a veg light. It's too hot for my space at full power, so I'm running close to 50% power and getting 400-600 ppfd at 15" and keeping my space a comfy 78°. I'm getting a deeper green than I ever got under my T5's, almost olive. Once they go into the red-room for preflower the leaves start getting more lime under 700-900 ppfd in late veg.

At 12oz I'm already 4 oz up on my old HID, but I'm pretty sure I can get at least 16 in my space with this light combo. Still tuning.

14 oz shoul be your benchmark. Pretty good numbers with 320W

Sorry about that ... I see I wasn't clear. My bad ...

You are correct in that I only have 1 light in the 2 x 4. The unit is comprised of 3 of their QB288's on the 1 x 3 heat sink. Even though I have a few successful flowering cycles under my belt, I feel that I am still learning the finer points of using this rig.

I gather that you like this light as well?
Yeah, it's a good light. I just came back because I got to thinking about the 288 being the individual panels, not the light kit itself and realized my possible error. That was my bad. :eyesmoke: I've only grown one crop under it so far, and it wasn't anything I had grown before, so I cannot compare it to previous grows yet..

Grew about a pound...14 oz of premium cola bud and several g of hash lower bud and trim...under my Timber Redwood VS
I grow in organic living soil; water only but I also monster crop and LST only mature clones and veg them a super long time... how long? ...lost track of how long ....that’s how long I vegged them.
Used to get about 2-3 oz per plant if I was lucky under my old 600w HPS. Now it’s more like 4-5 oz per.

in a 3x3 with 500watts vero29 cobs I have had a 15.1oz
16.2oz and 18.4 oz.
that’s with 4 plants in 3 gal perlite hempys. Vegged 6-8 weeks I a Scrog.
Those are my better ones. Now I do a perpetual thing. And don’t bother with scrog at the moment

15 gallon pot mixture of a garden compost and soil under 2 x hlg 260s 3000k fixtures. No environment other than air movement in a cold ass garage, haven't trimmed it all yet but currently have 9 ounces jarred with at least 10 ounces still on sticks.

I am at the moment testing out the new Lumatek Led, Zeus 600w pro, in a side by side test set-up, to try figure out how the led does compared to hps.
In week 6 atm, so havent gotten an answer just yet,but its on the way.

32 equal sized clones from same motherplant, 16 under led, 16 under hps.
So far it seems that the led side is a bit bigger, so i am tempted to believe that the led is supporting a bit more growth, both in stretch and bud development.
Do you have a journal going for that?

4 x 4, 6 plants in 3 gallon cloth pots, PM/HP cut with 40% perlite, vegged for 42 days, single topping, 2 x 320(s), 3K LM301H with LG multi deep reds, running @ 230w each, 4 X 4 foot AM/pure UV lamps run for 3 minutes each hour @ 22 inches, during flowering. Total grow time, 109 days, result, 38.4 zips of bud, and 8.1 zips finely trimmed trim which made roughly 5900, 90mg gummies, yum!

Thing is, it doesn't take near the amount of heat to heat up a well insulated room as it does to cool when running too hot under lights IME. I am controlling climate in a 12x12 room and my supplemental heating can get it to low-mid 80s easy with lights on and I am using a tiny little heater 10 inches tall. On the other hand when I had heat issues I had to use a 14k Whytner to cool it down. I will say the room is very well insulated.
