Geeze no wonder your so tough. I tried selling Kirby Vacuums once, Made 18 demonstrations and never sold one. On the last demonstration the old lady said no, she wanted a built in Vac. So I said OK. My uncle and I went to our Vac store and got a used Electrolux, 30 ft. of vac. hose, a set of vac attachments, Knocked a hole in her wall, used the end of another electrolux for a wall plug in, wired in a switch, and sold it to her for $800.00, probably had 40 bucks and 2 hrs. labor in it. It worked fine and she was happy as hell. She had had quotes of 2500.00. One thing she did say though was, "now I know how you guys could do it so cheap". I didn't feel bad as she could have bought the Kirby for 300.00 and had a lot better machine. That was the end of my sales career!

I got out of the service and starting going to college. I was Summa Cum Laude with a 4.000. I was studying to be a Civil Engineer. After my wife graduated as an R.N. we fell on hard times and I am a basic laborer. But after it was all said and done, I am still a Pot-Head and proud of it!!!!!!!!!!

I am a psychiatric RN in a prison hospital setting. I see ax murderers and baby rapists every day. It's not as bad as it sounds... once they're medicated they're usually manageable....but I've seen some pretty strange stuff....

Tahoe....that's why you referenced Konrad Lorenz...i hadn't heard that name in years. I of course majored in psych and had a strong interest in the biological basis of behavior so am familiar with his work. Also love Wilson and the guy who wrote "The Selfish Gene" can't think of his name right now.

It is quite bad still really Arizona, because you have to remain objective when sometimes you must barely be able to contain your disgust.

I truly believe that the people you deal with are weak, the type of bully you don't want to turn your back on. Because they are weak they seek gratification through the degradation of someone weaker than they are. They should get no protection, they are not ill, if they are then all crime is an illness.

Society should be able to vote on sentencing requirements. In England these types of prisoners are sectioned off from the rest. To release these types of men into 'general population' would create a riot. They'd be killed, such is society's disgust for these types of people.

There are those that are truly psychotic, whose thought processes are so jumbled up they cannot sort out reality and respond appropriately and integrate with the general pop. They are easy prey to the other sort, the ones who are truly sociopathic and whose needs and appetites drive them to exploit and abuse others. Their actions are so vicious and disturbing that they get lumped in with the others and sent to us for sorting out. The reasoning goes that they MUST be mentally ill or they wouldn't have done the things they did. Well, not necessarily...time and again we send them back to the behavioral management units with the conclusion that they have an "anti-social" personality disorder - they're evil bastards - and we cannot help or cure them with medication and no amount of psychotherapy (should we have the budget for that, which we don't) is going to help. They are the "animals in cages" and I have seen many. This is where I join forces with Nietzche and agree that we need to have the courage to cull these people from the herd..permanently. A long sentence isn't long enough - when they get out they are going to victimize again. A life sentence only puts the burden on all us future victims to pay, via taxes, to maintain a life form that lives only to exploit us and our families. Fuck this Christian charity crap and the sin of taking another life. We don't do it often enough and refuse to face and deal with the evil that exists in the human race.

I just graduated from college. Thinking about heading to Taiwan, Japan, and/or South Korea for a year to teach English. Then would come back and get my Master's degree in History, teach Jr. College.

Right now I work in a support role involved in the college sporting industry.

Certain crimes deserve the penalty. Anything to do with kids for example... but rather than the death penalty I'm more for castration. I think peadophiles and predatory rapists should be castrated. Serial killers should be hung in public... if we as a society are to kill for justice, we all should feel obligated to watch.

I agree skunkushyrid. If they did do that I would be at all the public executions and also in favor of castrations.

im with arizona. We have a death penalty for a reason and we dont uswe it enough and worse when we do and these people go to death row they just sit there and eat up our taxes for years and years and never go to the needle. Also i beleive that as far as the method of execution goes it should be different for different crimes. Fuck all this "Cruel and unusual" shit. If the crime was torture then the convict should be tortured to death using similar methods that they used on their victims. and anything that has to do with kids they should just put them in general population and make sure some of the prisoners know what they did and just let the prisoners do what they do best, victimize.

I laughed when I read that last bit. It's true... criminals exploit people's weaknesses. Oh and that includes everyone on this site that is actually growing illegally. If you're not growing for personal use alone then you are a criminal.

Sorry, I'm sure someone will get this back on thread soon...
