What's your EC level for 1 to 2 week old seedling in coco?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone might be able to tell me what EC nutrient level (approximate) you use at 1 week old and 2 week old seedlings?

I have found that I might be underfeeding mine early on, and I have another one thats turned pale green all over, and the stem at the top is purple too. I have been PH consistently at 6.0 and first feed was only about 1/4 strength of Base nutrients. I just watered again 2 days ago with a mix of about 0.8EC about half strength and its growing again but still not as dark green as id like to see it.

My lights are off atm so I don't have a pic yet but can tell you it looks fine aside from the pale colour. other plant is doing really well and is about 1 month into veg now so I think my PH is stable as I use a Bluelab PH pen that I have checked calibration 2 times now and its been spot on perfect.

TIA

Pictures say a thousand words...
Light lime green is perfectly fine. I don't worry much about color until I see 3 or 5 fingered leaves. Unless they're banana yellow, of course.
Dunno what nutes you're using but I can tell you what I've been doing in coco. I'm using Canna Coco nutes. I don't check EC/PPM. I'm starting my 3rd round in coco.

From the day the seed gets dropped in until day 10-12 I use a mix of 1-2ml rhizotonic+calmag to 1 liter water in a spray bottle and spray the coco heavily (1/2cup to 1 cup each time) 2x daily.

Once the 1st set of 3 finger leaves come out, they get 1/4 strength nutes or less + calmag and full normal coco waterings.

My first go in coco were fed just calmag+ at full dose in a spray for the 1st 2 weeks and did great. Rhizo seems to make them grow a bit quicker/stronger to me.

As long as the Cotyledons aren't pale yellow, seedlings are doing fine.

Thanks a lot man , I have since upped the dose of House & Garden Cocos A&B and the colour is back now. Growing nicely. I guess all of this "over fertilised" talk made me be a bit too cautious of how much to give plants, actually I am learning it is actually pretty close to what the manufacturers specs are. I don't know why people were saying to run so much less....

under fed is the best way to go until you have it down. under fed they pull out of it in days. over fed can take 7-14 days to correct. less is better than more. remember keep good notes and your second grow will be better. I tell my customers that the third grow is your first grow. first grow your fucken up half the time. second grow your fixen your fuckups. third grow you have the basics down.
