they need a fan to develop strong stems, also they look like theyre stretching toward the light - its a sign of not getting enough light. notice the extra long stem with only one set of leaves up top, its reaching for more light. whats the watts on that thing?

cover those roots. use a white printer paper cutout and not foil... i am sad when i see foil thinking back to what it did to me my first grow. :?

And yea, fan -get those nice thick stims to hold all the lucious juicy bud. bongsmilie

those are 2 20 watt bulbs, and the stretched stems, i think that was a result of having them about 3 inches further away from the light than they are now

40watts is the reason for the stretching..you should atleast get 1 nice cfl thats 40 watts. what do u plan to flower them with?

well, i want to get a few more cfls to hang in there and then i was just going to go to 12/12 light with a few cfls and the tubes. what do you think?

youll get whispy fluffy buds, i have some CFL weed my buddy grew and i hate it lol, it barely gets me high. the tubes are barely capable of growing the plants as it is, id recommend upgrading to a real light source. the more you put in, the more you get out :blsmoke::blsmoke::blsmoke:

most definitely dude....you will get thicker heavier buds with the HPS. Maybe use your cfl and tubes as supplemental lighting for the bottoms of your plants. let the hps penetrate the tops

re-pot in deeper pots. bury the stem up to the first set of leaves. continue to veg under the floros. i've used them for years and they work great. get the HPS to flower. you won't regret it.

yea a 400watt would be sweet for your setup, especially switchable to get benefits of both spectrums.
