Hi, first grow, 3 master kush from seed, I'm in week 5 of 12/12 now, vegged for 6 weeks, running 400w hps all the way through in 900x900x1600 tent with extractor, lights off temp 16 or 17c, lights on 25 or 26c, keeping light 12 inch from closest bud, (only a few days ago was only 8 inch) in coco coir and feeding all gold label as per the guide on their site, watering to 20% ish run off and watering when feeling dry at top when I stick finger in, everything been going really well, much better than expected. But now the top bit od bud like 3 colas is looking bad, a bit small, a bit yellow, and the leaves are really short and curling down around it, but below that they're reaally healthyvan and every other cola (about 45 in total) is looking good too, what is causing this? I have uploaded some pics of the bad bits, other ok, bits and the whole thing, any help would be much apreciated, very new to this. Also should I defoliate a bit?

Thank you for your reply. I'll take a closer look and get some more pics if they're clear enough in a few hours when the lights go off. Why does that happen if it is that? Would I just cut off the seed bits or does the whole branch go? Can it spread to the others?
So I had a really good look, and looked at soeme pictures on google and I don't see anything banana like or yellow, I'd just say some of the leaves have really shrunk and turned light green. The tops were a bit close to the bulb so I'm hoping the changes were just light or heat damage.
BUT, I found something I'm really worried about, next to the little hairs you start to see when you put them into 12 12 there are now some little sacks, most don't have anything in but in 1 I found that little green bit, it was kinda solid but you could crush it up.
I hope I'm just panicking and making things up, worried I'm not gonna get anything at all worth smoking now, please ease my concerns. Lol

That's a calyx man don't touch those!!! Bananas and seed pod look much different. My plants sprout calyxes along the stem as well. Not sure if its strain related or not but those aren't seed pods or bananas.

those are single calyxes, almost all plants grow those where stems meet the main stalk. see the TWO WHITE hairs on each one? males only ever have one green hair, if you see them at all, they come and go quick. and male sacs will have a little stalk, making them kind of look like a spade symbol.
look at the base of buds, where they meet the stem. that seems to be where nanners like to grow. if you don't see any little yellow bits there, you're good.

as far as your plants fading, it very well be the light a little too close, but plants naturally start doing that as they age. some stay very green up to the end, and some turn yellow as hell before they go. its called senescence, and its plant old age, not a lot you can do about it. keep feeding them sensibly, and pull off any dead leaves to stop them from growing mold, you ought to be fine.
