What's wrong with my Sativa?

Hey guys. My Indica finished and yield was pretty garbage. It was my first grow. Now, i'm working on my Sativa plant and trying to figure out the issue with it. It's been flowering for over a month. Maybe a month and a half.. But it looks like this. It was in a pot about half the size of the one it is in now and was root bound. Transplanted it yesterday. All went smoothly and she seems to be happier.

I am using 6, 1650 lumen CFLs, a flowering nute that is mixed into the soil. (time released, all i had)

Is that what stunted the growth?
It doesn't look like the nodes and stems would support dense buds, is that why it stopped flowering more?

Thank you guys for any help and advice. Pics below :)

Being root bound is probably what stunted her growth...she looks a lil nute burned also, but using time release you cant really do anything about that..she is awful spindly, all you can do is power through and hope she finishes...we learn by doing...first couple grows are always a good learning experience...most sativas are kind of finicky, they like them dry conditions usually (not all)...a million ways to skin a cat...and lots of info here on the site...I hope she turns out to be some good smoke for you! Good luck!

Thank you so much for the reply! I wondered if it was nute burnt :/ Yeah those time released nutrients have been an awful experience. This was a bag seed and 0 money spent except on electricity. Do you think i have enough light for them? Hoping we're right about the root bound issue stunting the growth.

also one more thing i thought was odd, maybe not (i've only grown an Indica plant prior to this) there are fan leaves coming out of the same area that the stems with buds are coming from? horrible terminology, i know, i'm a newb. It just looks odd to me.

Think of that leaf as a solar panel for that particular budsite (also bad terminology) its natural....well you can always use more light and space you'll see! :) I try and make sure its got a solid 100 watts or so per plant...as a rough idea....if you like using dirt you should read up on organics...or what they used to call it back in the 50s....growing stuff..you are going about it the right way, learning from bagseed isn't awful at all!

awesome! thanks bro. one more question about lighting. I have 6, 23W, 100W replacement CFLs in there. Does that mean that there are 600 watts in there? that's always kinda confused me

Unfortunetly it would be 6 x 23w, also depending on how Sativa she is, she may want to go for like 14 weeks

Did you let it get sexually mature before flipping to flower? If not, it will greatly reduce yield with low powered lights which would explain the excessive stretching

Keep in mind also that sativa tend to be taller and lankier than a typical indicia would.

I switched the lighting pretty quickly. I had read that they get 2/3 bigger than they already are during flowering so i was afraid to let it veg long. It's in a small closet. Just trying to get enough for myself.

given the conditions, I think its done pretty good. time release nuets, are bad. but if you figure the time table, you are not that far off. just the other factors holding her back.

I dunno why I like haphazard grows like this.

Haha, thanks man! it's pretty cool to see what conditions they can grow in. If i get a yield at all, i'll be happy. it's been a cool experience.

She is a little lanky. Don't sweat it though because I have one right now that started out like yours but now she is stunning! Yours could be just a lankier strain. I would back off on your nutrients just a tad..... peace!!!

My sativa bagseed went well into 13 weeks blooming.
I hear 80 days to a hundred should be normal for sativas.
Good to know. I'm hoping she is just a late bloomer then, haha. Lights on in about an hour n 30 minutes and hopefully she healthy and looking good. I had a huge problem with fungus gnats for a while when I was learning how much to water them.

Awesome! Excited to watch her grow. I've just been concerned because she's seemed like she's been at a stand-still for a few weeks until recently. The day after I transplanted, I started seeing Trichomes. I hadn't seen any before hand. As for the nutrients.. I messed up and used time release flowering ones. They're high in P&K and low in N, but they are time release and I feel like that's been the issue. :/ I don't plan on using any more nutrients at all.
