Whats wrong with my plants?

Hi guys,

This is my first grow
Seeds: from a friend
Grow type: Kratky (with plan to upgrade to DWC)
Light: Chinese QB 240W, 18/24
Temp: 22-28C
Humidity:60-70%
Nutrient: Leafy green universal (I use it for Basil with great success)
pH: Not sure, but my un-calibrated pen showed my water is in range with bottle water.

One plant showed symptom earlier, the smaller one is starting to show today (photos took 3 days ago)

if it’s yellowing from the bottom leafs up it’s probly nitrogen deficient. How old are they? And what kind of light is that again? You want to have high pressure sodium or metal halide, or full spectrum LED, no disrespect because everyone has to start sumwhere but ppl fuck this up everyday. It ain’t about the grower sometimes it’s about the equipment and environment the plant is in.. I would grow in soil if it your first grow man fair warning

Thanks for your reply.
Its 1 month old, Light is Quantum Board 240W, 3500K
From where I live its hard to get access to proper nutrient like GH or AN.
I have had some experience with Kratky method (with other plants) and the root of these plants are white & healthy

It’s gonna be hard for you to run roots in water when your plant is big man without hydro nutes, that’s why if I were in your shoes right now I’d grow it in soil and if you can’t get ahold of sumthing meant for weed I’d use an all purpose 20-20-20 or something like gaia green nutrients and go organic

What I’m saying is since ur plants are yellowing right now n there less than a foot tall there gonna b some sick in a few months if you don’t PH ur water and get it the right nutrients like NOW bro

Also your humidity should be dropped 10% ish down to 55-60 and even lower when there in bloom try to keep it between 40 an 50 in bloom

Soil grower here too and It’s so forgiving I’m even afraid to do coco coir. DWC & HYDRO scare me lol.

YeH it is forgiving eh lol, I usually always have a bit of tip burn on my plants from juuuust overdoing my feed by a pinch, and that’s a good thing in soil u can feed and watch n feed sum more where in hydro you better have a very strict regiment and have it dialed in b4 you even get ur seeds to grow haha

That was great advice you gave the op. I’ve avoided the burnt tips by cutting the recommended feeding to half of the manufacturers suggestion.

Well thank you! And if you don’t have a wee bit of tip burn throughout ur flower cycle your probly not maxxing your plants full potential and bud size btw, I aim for just a pinch of tip burn, then flush for like 9 days instead of a week

But don’t burn your tips in veg this is more of a thing you push on your plants the middle of bloom

And try it only on 1 plant , give it 20% more feed and if it does well adjust the rest to that dose and so on n so forth, until you get minimal tip burn and then edge back 10% then ur in a good spot

Cannabis is a two-cycle crop (veg&bloom) and may require far more root exposure to nutrients(and oxygen) than root tips in a shallow oxygenized layer can provide. Kratky works better with one cycle leafy greens like lettuce and others. Or rather it didn't work out for me..
As others have stated you'll need some nutrients if you're really going to upgrade to DWC. Along with a way to calibrate that pH pen, and air stone(s) pumps, tubing etc. You may very well want to try soil while you source the things you'll need.

I have the same problems in Thailand.
One problem you appear to have is a pot that's wayyyyyyyyy too small.
