Yeah, why are you watering twice a day? The plants are burnt. What soil are you using? Are you feeding additional nutes? What type of lighting? How close are the lights?

Potting soil is Miracle Grow. Just the larger one has been fed. Only fed that one once. Light is CFL and are close to the plants, very close about 2 or 3 inches. Is watering twice a day bad with a mist sprayer? Should only be once even if dirt gets bone dry? This is a budget grow, next one will be different.

I'm driving so my fast response as an emergency is.... They look like they over nuted (new term nuted lol) or light to low or lack of water?

Temps? Maybe I'm late to The reply timing as I had the window open on my iPhone's browser for a while trying to reply 30 mins ago.

What watts are the lights that are 3inches away?

This is a budget grow as mentioned so I have 5 13 watt cfl (75 watt incandescent equivalent in one double container "tent" i made and the other is a half box with 3 of the same bulbs mentioned.

Both are covered in reflective tape along with aluminum foil. they all germinated rather well and got the vegging rather quickly.
I added some Miracle Gro shake n feed nutes to them. That's all I can do for now until next grow but I think maybe a few I threw the shake n feed vegging nutes a little too early. The smaller ones in the half box picture I have not added nutes too.

Just looking for some advice for a cheap grow folks.

Thank you

well its probably a simple answer. Plants usually are pretty easy to diagnose when something goes wrong. So for the big one with the dots on the soil id say probably its burning from the food. The other ones may have gotten too close to the light and burnt the tips of the leaves if you havent fed them. Does that sound like it could be possible?

Yes, that could be possible. The one in the half box, I have to keep moving around because it is always "wanting" to stretch and touch the light. Thank you so much.

I know you are on a budget but there must be a better option than Miracle Grow. Make your own compost and use that to make your soil. You can get help building a budget soil in the organic section. I see so many of these MG grows with the plants fried from the nutes:(

I would transplant into a a good soil and you would see a lot better results:)

No worries. Id scoop those fertilizer balls off the soil of the burnt one. They seem to be really frying that plant and its probably going to get worse if you leave em in there. Just water for a while. ;)

You know what, that's something I didn't think about. I will check that out. Thank you! :)

I will have to change the dirt. Those nute balls are all the way.
