What's wrong with micacle grow potting soil?

I'm afraid it is too late and I see a lot of negativity surrounding the Organic miracle grow potting soil. I haven't really found out what is wrong with it though? Does it really matter if you have the best soil the first time around?

Packed full of slow release fertiliser. Very hard to do anything with a plant that has, lets say, a low potassium tolerance if your soil has it in already.
 
The Time release nutrients are hard to deal with because its hard to judge the release time of nutrient especially when your adding nutrients to the soil. This can result in alot of burns. I use it because its local. I try to stay away from the time-release though.

depends if you're talking about MG Potting Soil - that's loaded with tiny fert pellets that can burn many a newb's 1st plants
now MG Organic Potting is a bit different, haven't used that one
but there is also MG Organic Garden soil, that can be used well for MJ though many don't like it - you need to sweeten this one with a bit of dolomite to raise the PH
there are a lot of MG soils
 
sorry, i was being a dick. time release ferts in your soil mess with the flavor of your final product. I use the "roots" brand. it is the best in my opinion.
 
You can grow with it & you will be fine just do not add any ferts untill after veg unless you need nitrogen. Some people overthink everything & it will be better i guess.
 
Whats wrong with it is new growers use it can mess up and they blame it on the soil. It's not the best, and not something I use with choice, but it does work.
 
It will work & is fine especially for people who need to know if this is really what they want to do. I personally do not use it anymore but did for years untill i figured out this my hobby.

no need to use them early, but likely by flower
depends on how a big a pot and how big the plant
if you have enough pot/soil you might not have to feed for a while
 
What if you picked out all the extended release white tablet things one by one? I'm down to do that as I have Miracle Gro in my garage and don't really wanna spend any money on other soils.
 
hmm, i just used a 8 quart pot myself, grew mine out to 29 inches
i don't have a good feel for MG Organic Potting, don't think it's as a heavy a fert as MG Potting
but i doubt you'll need to feed for a while
