just got some clones at weekend, the clones are 10 days old, from a friend of a friend, the clones seem doddgey to me. if you look at the pics at the base of the plants, they have these tear like things growing on the stalk, and when i pull one off, and split it open a tiny little seed thing comes out, of the tear looking thing, does this mean what i think it does "hermie", or is thie tear thing normal. plus there venus hybred f2, i think these are prone to hermie, i think,

First of all the purple stems and slight wilting are telling me that the clones are either nutrient deprived or the mother plant was stressed. Are you sure that the friend was positive as to the sex of the cut plant. If the "mother" came from seed and was sexed the clones may be reverting back to veg from flowering which can set them behind since cuttings are supposed to be taken in the veg state. I would say that they arent hermies unless they ARE reverting back to the veg from flower since hermies are usually th eresult of alot of stress

to me the clones look like there from plants in flower, and what about the tear things with the tiny tiny seeds in them?.

Yeah they definitely look like calyxes if there are seeds in there then it has been pollenated on those spots. Where the pollen came from is a different matter!!

what i think is that some dickhead who grows for profit, who doesnt even know what a hermie is, has took a cutting from one of his hermie infected crop, while in flower, took a cutting sold it to my friend,, who got it for me. plus there all yellow, is there any way that if they are hermie, to some how stop em from being hermie, would it be a waste of time growing these things, please help.

so if a clone was from a hermie you would spray with that stuff, and they wont self poll.?. do you think i should take the clones back?,. and tell the man hes growing hermies, my uncle deals with this bloke, and when i spoke to my uncle about it, he dont even know what a hermie is, so its sort of hard to explain. but if i need to ill get my point accross, i will.

hermy what? WTF???????:???? it is a clone taken from a plant in flower. those "tear" things are UN-pollinated seed pods. commonly referred to as calyxes. give it a little nitrogen and put it under 18/6 for a few weeks so it will revert back to veg. and it will be fine.

how hard was that? ssshhhheeesshh.

thanks , but in the calyxes should they be a small seed, is this normal, and i said in a earlyer post, that i thoght that the clones ive just got, were clones taken from a plant in flower . should the calyxes have unformed seeds in them or what, is this normal???

there tough like theyve been there a long time. quite hard and dry, with like a pin prick sized seed
they fill with a type of "meat" for lack of a better word. does it look hard like a seed or meaty like plant matter? could have been a male somewhere in your "friends" garden at one point also.

nice for you.mmm

the seed thing seems more formed as apposed to plant matter, id say it was more of a seed, if so why? what does it mean if it is a seed...

it means it got pollinated somewhere long ago. put the thing on 18/6 and just let it grow.:blsmoke:
