I like the AC Infinity just because they seem pretty decent and the price is competitive with the shit brands like ipower and vivosun. I run the 8'' filters with reducers down to 6'' fans. Ive had one running non stop for 2 years and its still working good.
I've had an ipower running 8yrs nonstop :)

My setup is pretty basic right now. I spent a good amount building 3 really nice lights. 6 total drivers, 3 boards, and 7 strips spread across 3 tents. I’ve tried to do everything else cheaply since I spared nothing on the lights. I just have the fan attached to the filter, sucking air out of the tent with a prefilter inside the tent over the fan’s intake to keep it from getting full of dust. I kind of like this setup because there’s very little static pressure and it helps build humidity in my grow room (I live in a super dry climate). The tent is only 3x3 and the fan is pretty powerful. I’ve got it on a speed controller. That much air movement up from the bottom of the tent keeps the canopy well ventilated and dissipates the heat from the lights. The only thing I would like to improve is a way to mount it to the top of the tent better, like something out of plywood that distributes the weight and keeps everything really secure. It’s a pretty basic setup considering I’m running 3 tents in a small bedroom but the plants seem happy.

I’ve used the same RHINO PRO 900 since I purchased it in 2012.

I use it with a 450m3/h and the filter is rated I think (can’t fully remember) 900m3/h

my fan is on a speed controller that has a temp probe and barely ever runs at 100% power.

I can smell right at my exhaust and I smell nothing.

but I do know that others have not had similar performance out of the latest rhino pro filters.

Not my review, but this sums up the difference between mid and low performance filters.
This is a Black Ops filter for instance

"Gap between foam cushion and nylon stocking that holds carbon. Gap big enough to see right through "

You shouldn't have a stocking filled with media in the first place. That means its not vacuum packed and always going to have uneven air distribution.
This is never going to work properly, they fill a sock with unprocessed Charcoal flakes instead of vacuum packing uniform size and density pellets.
If you are lucky, it actually has activated charcoal, not activated carbon...that's another word for coal.
If the filter is 20% less costly than everyone else and says activated carbon, its probably coal.

After they stop working, remove the top, pour out the carbon pellets then cram 95% of them back in by shaking and filling. That works for air scrubber filters or another grow cycle, gets enough new surfaces to filter...probably time for a new one anyway. If money gets tight, I'd buy pellets and refill vs vacuum fill from factory for a third the price.

Does anyone have an opinion on this one? It’s a little cheaper than the phresh. As for that review posted above, it seems like all the ones on amazon use the same charcoal. The cheap vivosun that I have, the one I’m linking here, and the phresh all say rc48 virgin activated carbon. Does it all come down to assembly and the way the carbon is packed in?

Those look good and have good reviews, never tried one though.

I have an 8"TerraBloom filter for 8 months now, seems fine, packed well.
