I'm actually starting to think of doing a bit of that with the current drought making it hard to find greens for animals.

Yeah grafting is crazy! I half-heartedly tried one of my uncles apples on my crab apple but I was so young and dumb. Pretty sure I used a rusty pocket knife lol.
