whats better for S.O.G? Aero or ebb

I have 3 mother and im trying to decide whats better for sea of green method I have one 400 w mh and two 1000 watt hps. I also have a 4 by 11 room its getting close to the time to clone. I need to hurry and do something. I'm very hand and want to build my own to save money.......dont forget this is for S.O.G

ebb my dude! although i doing sog w/ dwc i rather ebb.

ok then how do you do it with ebb and i will do ebb can you help with what i will need and how big

i dont know what tables to get or what pumps or what size res i need help i have a 4 x 11 room

i need to do sog trying to get half pound every 2 weeks or 3 weeks

i can...that'll be a 1/4lb of your finest please.......fine i'll do it for free.

for a 1000w you can get a 20 gallon res and a 4x4 table or in your case 2 sets then if you have an 8 week strain you can grow 4 per sq foot so 4 sections of 32 plants each. a very nice couple of pounds per harvest is in your future. the pumps are eco 396gph sub pumps and of course you need an air pump and stones. getit? good. now go get em tiger!!!

thanks man I m getting all my stuff today besides my lights.....I had a idea what if i were to build a frame out of wood ( i'm a carpenter ) and used panda film to keep it water proof insert the drain and flood just use silicone you know what you think

20 gallons is big enough for 2' x 2'. If you wanna do a 4x8-ish table you'll need 100 gallons of reservoir.

right on.....20 gallons fills my 2x4's with plenty to spare. they fill the 4x4 as well but just barely. 100 gallons is overkill but do what will work best for your situation. your not filling the trays.....just putting enough water in them to fill your pots or medium a few inches. i will say that a 30 or 40 would be perfect for the 4x4's and you wont need to worry.

Are you using Botanicare trays and res? I got a 2 x 2 w/ 20 gallon res and the water level sits just above the pump unless I'm growing in a bed. I figured it might be okay for a 2 x 4 tray (w/bed), but no way can you flood to 4" in a 4 x 4. I flood to 4".

alright thanks guys but now im really wondering if i build a table out of wood cuz im a carpenter and i make the walls six inchs high cover the thing in panda film would that work

somebody please im gonna build it as soon as someone thinks it should work

I,m not sure I know what panda film is? Be sure to use the silicon that the aquarium guys use.

The only plastic tray i can find near 4'x4' are the Garland 1m trays, but they are just under 40" and a bit too small, so now I'm planning on doing the same (wooden trays).
Yes, i'd say panda film would work for a few months, i was thinking of pond linning, but i guess tiny holes will soon appear in it and i'd say the same would happen to the panda film.
I was looking around my shed for something suitable to hold water in the trays, and came across a couple of rolls of 450mm damp course. It's very tough, i might hot glue strips of that together, and see if that will work. I was also thinking of making my own fibre glass trays, but i'd say it would be toxic for the plants.

panda film could work, but it comes in 4mil thick the most i think, i personally would want something thicker. Shit happens and if you tear it, what a pain in the ass is all i can say. youll be using pressure treated wood right?
does anyone else think that 6in hight is not enough?
