hi everyone.
I have 3 lights sockets in my grow area.
Im now in flowering stage and I have 2x42W(2700k) in use and I wonder whats better to use in the 3rd socket:

60w(6500k) 3500 lm/ 32W(2700k) 1800 lm???
the 60W obviousely puts out more lumens...
I have read that using the blue spec is also good for the bud producing more thc.

so what do you guys say?should I use the 62w blue spec or 32 W red spec?

good day...

So 140 Watts only!?! Definitely go with the higher power bulb, with that small amount of light you don't need to worry about thx production though, you need to worry about bud production! Id go get a 400w hps minimum for flowering

good question, 6500k in flowering does frost up the plant, but ive found it doesnt make the buds 'swell' nearly as well as 2700k. I have done this side by side with two *different strains* though, someone else has prob has better advice :P and 400w hps minimum for flowering is a joke^
personally id try and get a 60w 2700k for that socket and use the 32w till then ;)

Must have missed my punchline guy?! He already got better advice, it was mine.. Anything less isn't worth the time

400w hps or nothing is advice? hahahahaa......go home
buddy i've yieled a q of dried dank 12/12 from seed with only 3x24w 2700k, as an experimental in a tiny cardboard box
good luck with ur grow and ignore these hps huggers

Definitely use 6500k 60w.

And by the way, the OP wasn't asking about what kind of light to buy.

A q??a quarter lmao lmao lmao...ya again waste of time to ruin such little light but I should go home?? Riiiight, i'm at home typing so yaa, at least don't be a Dick learn to have an intelligent conversation...anything less than 400w hps will not yield enough pot to have been worth possibly breaking the law and worth your at least 90 days of time and work imo..also imo any grow with only one or two plants is also a waste of time..

I understand he didn't ask what light to buy but running 140 watt of cfl is not enough to create a worthwhile grow plain and simple..i'm giving him good above regardless of what he asked..need more power man!!

Anyway where are the sockets in your grow room..are they moveable? Can we get a Pic so I can possibly prove to these guys you need more light...for all you guys know who are telling him his three small lights are good enough, his plant could be three feet tall, good luck with penetration...need more info but generally unless you planned ahead that is not enough light

was my first grow, spent 0$, using cow shit tea as nutes, and grew some dense ass dank cali-o that could easy go for 100$,
yup real waste of time.......learning how to grow...... what a waste of time.........
& then suggesting he abandon's his grow because he isnt using a 400w hps, conversations dont get much dumber pal. oh wait it does, did you say anything less then 2 plants is a waste of time hahah....you clearly have never grown with cfls, and misunderstand completely what a worthwhile grow is.

thnx noham for actual advice for the OP
wk4.jpg<-using just 70w more then OP, fk kermits shitty "advice"

140 watts IS enough flower a plant. Sure, more light would certainly help, but the suggestion that anything south of a 400w HPS setup is a waste of time and effort is fucking stupid.

You're assuming all growers have the same needs/budget. We don't. Some people grow to sell, others grow to smoke several grams a day, others grow to smoke a few joints a week, and everything in between. Why, for example, would a single-plant micro-grower pushing out his first plant need a 400W HPS setup?

I grow with 250 watts of CFL and have done for years. Convince me that my needs aren't being met without a 400W HPS.

While 3 bulbs a 3 feet plant really won't do, what I have now under a 250w hps would clearly do nearly as good with 2 bulbs for each plant. They are autos, and just about 12 inch in height and very penetratable to light.
So yeah, it depends more on plant type than: "15 grams for cfl and half pound with hps". The plant yielding 15g may get 30g with hps but no more because the plant is just too small to use that much light.
For more than small plants and more than 2, I'd also advise using HPS, because FOR ME managing heat off 1 source is easier than with 15 individual bulbs. (cool tube)

I guess some of the controversary and why they make ridicule of CFL is because its just much easier to put up 1 huge output light, get the heat out directly and never worry about it again.
