hi peepz i plan on starting some seeds ive just germinated in soil from my hydro shop its called

Ecologic Potgrond

Peat-based compost base, very lightly fertilised. Best mixed with perlite for extra drainage.

i will get perlite also
Perlite

A light porous medium with amazing capillary action - the tiny channels sucking water and nutrients up from a reservoir below into the upper layers of the medium while
maintaining drainage to keep air around the roots.

is this ok to start seeds in as i have heard about nute burn and killing seeds before they start
1.when would you feed nutrients to this kind of soil mix
2.will this soil mix be ok for the whole grow or just for veg?
3.what nutes do you reccomend for cheapness and effectiveness???
im growing big bang,alaskan ice, arjans strawberry haze,
600 mh/hps
extractor fan osculating fan
normal 100 watt cfl for 1st week of seedling through soil then veg under mh then flower under hps but i just want to keep nute simple as its my first grow??

you want to keep nutes simple period. just get some juicy organic soil(not mg) and some perlite that's all i use and that's all you need for seedlings. you could add vermiculite and pete moss but other than that you only use other shit when you transplant

I use sunshine mix#4, a saphgum, peat and perlite mix. i add extra perlite and feed with advanced nutes when i can get to the hydro store, or any quality plant food specific to either veg or flower when i can't. I've never had a problem starting a seedling with pre nuted mediums. Just wait a week or so to add nutes and then only at 1/2 strength to start.

when i say "juicy" i mean pure organic not some MG type shit. now that's juicy. not juicy as in wet or filled with nutes or worms r anything

ya that dirt looks fine. you dont need to add anything additional for 3 weeks then feed 1/8th nutes

Perlite=volcanic glass trapping water in it's rigged surface= Aerates your soil
styrofoam pellets= prevents your soil from clumping
vermiculite=retains water in your soil
Humic acid=stimulates root growth
Mycorrhizal Inoculant-increases yeild, root biostimulant. reduces transplant shock, promotes fast growth
Molasses=High in Potassium, good for root growth
Compost mix=stimulates soil microbe
bloodmeal=15-1.3-.7 good for veg

you want ratios of 20-10-12 for vegging
and 5-20-10 or a 10-19-12 for flowering
