What would you like to see in a rollitup.org podcast?

Hey every body.

about 2 months ago I made an instructional video on how to grow hydro cannabis on a budget.

well since then it's had over 15,000 hits, won numerous you tube awards (most viewed in a day etc...).

any way I've been talking to rollitup about a pod cast (or POTcast ), and he seems to be realy up for it.

For those of you who dont know what a pod cast is...

well I wanted to do a bit of research first before i started if some of you could give me some input it would be greatly appreciated.

Length and frequency:

How often would you guys like to see the show?
How long would you like the show to be.

I wanted to either do
A) 10-15min show once a week or fortnight
B) 30-60min show every month.

What topics would you like to see?

I would like the content to be interesting to ALL or at least MOST of the rollitup community.

some of the topics I had in mind were:

• Indoor grow tip
• outdoor grow tip
• pests and diseases
• viewer questions
• Viewer's tip
• product reviews
• pot news
• stoned talk, this would be a stoned question followed by viewer's answers and perhaps a poll. (like "if man was made by aliens... who made the aliens")
• viewer's crop photos
• stealth/security tip (how to keep your shit a secret)
• tech tip (like how to set up a time lapse camera)
• The show could have it's own grow which would be updated every episode.
• Stoner's music and movie review. (sort of album of the month style)

... tell me what you guys like the most, and if you have another Idea let me know.

Who wants to help?

obviously this is for the rollitup community, so who here would like to contribute in some way?

this could be anything, like writing some content, to video editing, to photoshop masters who could make show logo's etc...

if you think you can help, and your RELIABLE, then say so.

also eatspam you need to have some tune out time. A15 min segment where you play a long track or have some visuals to tune out to while you smoke toke the reefer

ye deffinitely need a few new tracks to smoke to each month, maybe a selection of tunes for a selection of genres? Il be happy to help out in any way needed really, though my background is more in coding i could write the xml feed for itunes subscribers? I also do some very basic graphics, but probably not good enough. Maybe you could post some lovely pics of peoples grows in progress to the music instead of trippy visuals? or a choice?

This is a superlative Idea.

I would think 20 minutes once a week would be a good lil broadcast.
You could have (disquised/ or not) quests via other remote webcams/pod casts.

This could really take off.
members could send in clips of thier grows or whatnot.

i would like to help if you have some musical or artish fo me to do.

I would help out don't really have any special talents but love to organize. I like the time lapsed grow idea. I would more interesting to more people if it covered several things. Like a quick stoner movie update, pick one question to answer, one pest issue to address, that kind of thing. Keep it moving and so you hold people's attention. Better to have people say wow I didn't catch all of that then gee that is boring.

A weekly 15 min pod cast sounds like an excellent idea.

so far I (and my band of friends) have come up with a concept, and are in the stages of designing the set and props.

I like the idea of the tune out session, because it's less screen time for me to have to plan/film.

I think it will go like this so far.

• Intro (skit)
• Grow tip (indoors during winter, and outdoors as well in summer)
• pest/disease control tip
• Security Tip
• viewer letters/questions
• Introduction of this weeks stoner album and movie/TV show.
• viewers crop pix over the top of the previously mentioned album.
• show email address and sponsors (ie rollitup, any stores that let us use their stuff as a demo, and any one else that helps out)
• credits

I'm full up for volunteers for now, but I'll be advertising vacancies as they come up.

whats it going to be called?

i say pot-cast play on the pod-cast idea

simple and straight to the point i like

since it's a community based show, how about everyone submits their ideas for a name and I'll put a poll up until the first show is about to be filmed.

which ever one is best liked I'll name it that, and put the person who thought of it in the credits.
