What would happen if...

I was wondering what would happen to a plant if you didin't harvest it? like if you kept watering it and just didin't harvest it would it die? and if so then how long would it be until the plant died?

if you keep the lights at around 18/6 and keep it healthy, you can have it for a very long time. i think i heard of 20 years or more. i would imagine over time the plant will just get tired and die.

if you change the light to 12/12 and didnt harvest, it will start to die after the buds hit their peak maturity.

this is what people are talking about when the use the term mother. The mother plant or 2, u keep them in the veg cycle like smoke said. Making sure u give ur plant 18 hours or more of light per day. Then as often as u can u clone that mother by taking cuttings off the mother and dipping it in rooting solution and then planting them. after about 2 weeks they will sprout roots and then u have exact clone of the mother. so if u keep ur mothers alive and keep them in the veg process u can techically have endless amount of new clones to grow and flower l8er

oh ok, 20 years thats pretty cool, does it keep on producing bud if you dont clone it?

if you keep it in veg. there is no bud. you have to put the plant in 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark to get bud. or take cuttings from it and put them in 12/12.

when u put a plant in a 12/12 light cycle ur mimicing the shorter days of fall. at this point, at night, the plant builds up the strength needed to produce flowering
