What Would an Evangelical Christian Country Be Like

88 and 80 are pretty normal for east west traffic, just don't do the damn speed limit. Go faster.
Lol, yes I've found that out. Folks in Illinois drive fast. I just come back from Iowa and was hauling ass on 294. I'm getting tired of the construction in Joliet between 57 and 55 though, you guys ever going to finish that ?

I'm jaded and dump on the state more than it deserves. That three Berries dude says they are from the general area, I believe it, quite representative really.

Edit: man the CO drivers are crazy. Assuming you don't get stuck in traffic its 80+ around the city. They blame it Californians and Texans, but I think they are all nuts. One of the interstates has jumps, can't quite figure out what those are about.

I do miss truck stops. They were just sort of part of growing up, if you went anywhere you would swing by and get snacks and a magazine, scope out the weird ass tools, trinkets, etc.

Nope. Just like the construction on 80 at the Indiana border, it's literally never ending.

Fascist orthodox religious zealots

I don't care if people want to worship a rock, a flag or their girlfriend's left tit. Just stop it with the suppression, murder and insurrection.
aw come on man what sort of wishy washy religion wouldn’t indulge in suppression, murder and insurrection? That’s the whole point.

I hear ya. Same thing in California; politics are quite a bit different outside of the city.
I put Illinois as kind of going above and beyond in terms of the disparity. The rest of the state is just resentful towards Chicago, they don't seem to grasp that it is an economic powerhouse and drives the state. Those sweet ass state jobs that pay insanely well...you don't have them if you don't have Chicago. Rely on taking government contracts for your small business, well chuckles the reason they can pay for a new paint job is Chicago.

It's a shame people can't just accept different strokes for different folks is the way to go.

If it contained god, then you might understand. Love is only the thing that you imitate. God is the love you crave.

There is no dogma just love. Some like to kill all love because they are evil and know no love.
And they are stupid.

Without going into a full theological discourse... If you have read scripture then you know all plants and seeds were given to mankind to name and use.

It is also written God does not abide Drunkenness or Sloth.

Not telling anyone what to do or not do.
Too bad your written god has no trouble abiding the smug, condescending hypocrisy of his coattail-riders.

This “conservative” drops a big clue to how utterly empty their shit is: the whole “written” thing. He even ‘asks’, explicitly, if ‘the rest of us’ “have a book”.

This is important (to them)…because they ONLY believe the stuff they wave around because ‘it’s in the book’. I find it oddly familiar to Eddie Izzard’s routine about flags

They believe the book. Because the book is “the word of god”.
They believe it because they believe the book SAYS IT. NO OTHER REASON.

THE BOOK is the infallible, inerrant, ineffable, magically delicious “Word of Gawd”(tm)…in their minds.
In plain language, they worship THE BOOK…AND THEY DO WHATEVER (they believe) IT SAYS…because they believe the book tells them to. Not “God”, not reason, not love Educational note: the word “bible” means…”book”. If you’ve ever wondered why some ‘Christians’ imply (loudly) that “BIBLE-BELIEVING” ‘Christians’ are more real, more ‘Christian’, more righteous than other ‘Christians’, there ya go.

No different from any form of brainwashing…and akin to a kind of possession… not much different at all from the love-bombing, obedience-enforcement, & isolation/separation practices of cults from the Unification Church to the Hare Krishnas to Jim Jones to NEXIUM - or the Mao-quoting Red Guard / Khmer Rouge.

God save us all from the venal, contemptuous, manipulative NewSpeak “love” of ‘Christians’

define 'jump'..do you mean 'flyover'? it takes you away from the local exits and not contributing to that traffic when you don't need to.

Colorado drivers will run you right the fvck over..walking around? don't ever and i mean ever leave it up to them to stop even with right of way. i thought Florida was bad- no comparison Colorado is waaaaayyyyyyyy worse especially considering difference in populace.

 Florida still has truck stops off the Florida Turnpike (Ronald Reagan Parkway:lol:)

I miss Fairy Tale Forest and the Gingerbread Castle in NJ..it's near where @UncleBuck lived growing up.

Nah, i225 has these giant bumps, you kinda jump if going fast in a light car. Think they are around Alameda.
