DIY,since your posting I take it that you came through Fiona OK,know your in that area and thought about you, really rare for Nova Scotia area of Canada to get whacked w/a Cat 2 hurricane, hope your property is OK also
Closer to a cat 3 when it hit, wrecked the power grid from one end of NS and PEI to the other almost 100% down in both provinces. Power off for over 3 days here and not too much damage. It didn't just past through like in Florida but stalled and stayed for 12 hours with sustained winds. Florida was hit worse, but not for as long with Ian, we are still recovering with lots of people without power. We had crews from other provinces and Maine here and in PEI, we sometimes send power crews to Florida too, but not this time!

I camped out with LED lights, candles and a propane camping stove, listening to the radio, internet and cell service were knocked out for a couple of days too.

Glad you're OK,every August I start to get nervous about Hurricane season,Mass. has been whacked good a few times though not much the last 50 yrs, so We are overdue here, still can't believe you're region could be hit by such a powerful storm, weather is def. changing, climate change is certainly no myth, take care hope things get back to normal quickly for Canadian's.

Ever seen the Lord smile? All the care for the world made Beautiful a sad man? Why do we still carry a device of torture around our necks? Oh, how rotten your pre-apocalypse is. All you bible-black fools living over nightmare ground.

A message for all those who hear "voices" and sometimes see things that aren't there...
