And I got shit on in this forum for complaining about a dg that wanted 2oz off the top of my prescription for "doing my part" He and people like him are the reason the mmar failed. I am so proud of myself for immediately revoking my licence. I spent more time being illegal and in the system waiting for the next application to go through, than I did being legal. There is not going to be a new system if people can't afford to buy it. Most sick people don't have a large income. So now where are are LP's going to find well off patients? This whole things is fucked right up!

There was a doc I heard of doing skype type appointments over the computer....
That would be easier for you if you could not travel....
but for what its worth, I wish I had not gotten my card, anyways in hind-sight,since I was only legal a couple of weeks and they announced the MMPR,

I went to a lot of trouble and was dicked around by my GP and was sent to a doctor who had retired before my appoint was made....I was told to wait since he didn't take phone calls....
finally I looked him up online only to find out he was no longer practicing, 2nd referral was to a Dr Kammerman's, who was no longer doing appointments, since, he was under investigation for writing scripts, his office was very kind and forwarded me to another person who was a consultant..finally in two days I had completed what took ,.16 to 18 months before that , making no progress at all.
Plus I cost me $1000.00 bucks paid to a lawyer ,to set up the doctors appointment....
If anything at all good came out of this..... it is that my doctor finally started to View MM as a viable treatment option, for some people, after being schooled by my MMJ doctor in a follow up phone call .My doc actually appreciated the fact I stood my ground and insisted we follow thru with a plan to reduce as much medication as possible, for my daily intake.....

I knew I was getting burned at 1000.00 but had no other option, with global and CBC doing investigational stories at the time..... but there really was no other choice for me based on the timing......
The lawyer already knew about the MMPR,but didn't say a word....HC knew but were clammin up at the time too...
The whole thing was a complete travesty and it was shock and awe for me...at the time.....I knew I was doing what was right for me,
which was advocating for my own health care....since no one else was....
The collection of doctors I had at the time, had me on more than 25 different pills....each day...
I'm now down around 12.....

Lol its very basic whats going to happen. A) we contiue growing but drop the size of the grows to stay under the radar
B) Alot of growers will close shop and return to the black market

Lol dont let idiots like kootneygirl upset you with 12 year old comments like "are you mad bro"

If these fellas think they can get an LP going with 50 or even 100 grand. Then you just say "go for it" then sit back and watch that money go.

Its very simple.

PS: Im not interested in kootneygirls reaponse to this as its truely a waste of her and our time. The clowns on repeat.

Keep farming. And overgrow.

I grow for under $2/g and use what I produce. Unless organized crime is pinching buds while I'm sleeping, I am making no contribution. I understand the market that does supply the excess to the black market, but there was a thriving black market long before 2001 and the MMAR. If the government made potatoes illegal there would be a black market spring up to fill that void. No compliance with the MMPR for me...I value my freedoms too much to let Ottawa dictate what I consume.

hc made crucial mistakes and not 1 person has pointed them out anywhere i have read. if and when i go to court i have a solid plan but i will not give popo or lps or wannabees my ammo. aside from that keep growing everyone and we will succeed :weed: i wish i could vote continue to grow no matter what. there is no such thing as forced to stop clones get replanted and so do seeds the minute they walk away at double the number.

example: driving. all u need is a set of keys for the car and a attitude.

You are so right Jessica d they have made plenty of mistakes and under estimated the average patient... we will succeed... and I love the formula you posed too....take down 1 then put two back right away....and so on....
I'm not surprised by the poll numbers so far.....pretty much where I figured they would be.... 70 percent in favor of the mmar ,20 percent are Lp's or wannabe's who have taken part in the vote...because they are also patients...and a few small percentages for those
caught up in their own personal situation and can not avoid their answer...choices 3 and 5....
I was hoping there would be a larger sample of votes....but there is still a month to go...

yes you are right the votes that are ok with lp's are the ppl who will continue to grow and make $$ from sick ppls suffering. makes sense for selfish ppl. drunk drivers are cool with drinking and driving too until one of them kills there kid then its omg.

The old system was a failure. As pointed out, organized crime got involved in an under-regulated system, and screwed it up for everyone.
The new system is designed to keep tighter control on the production and distribution. Keeping record of every gram produced and sold is the way to cut out crime. The evolution of MJ in the future will be hinged on what is happening in Colorado and other states. I foresee that in the future, it will be truly legalized, but not how everyone wishes it would be. Legalization will still require licensed producers that are watched by HC and CS and by licensed dispensaries, also under strict government supervision. Just because it is possible to grow ur own in a basement, doesn't mean it will be allowed. But, hopefully, in the future, we will be able to go to a pharmacy or dispensary, and buy what we need and know it is legal, sanitary, and regulated.

I wonder how many DGs under the old MMAR were illegally selling their MJ to non patients? These are the people that I assume are making the most noise about the changes. Not because they really care about helping more than their 2 patient limit, but because they are losing their illegal income from a flawed system.

Cheers
I don't agree with any regulation or involvement of HC after legalization. Until they start using "strict government supervision" and licensed producers to control the grape industry, the control of cannabis is laughable. Many thousands of Canadians make their own wine and beer and some illegally sell or give some of that alcohol to others. Alcohol kills thousands every year....cannabis kills none. It equates to allowing morphine to be sold on store shelves while requiring a prescription for aspirin. Freedom, to me, does not allow the control of who grows what plant and for what purpose.

so based on this poll so far....out of 40,000 patients enrolled....in this program....
there will be only at best 10,908 patients WILLING to purchase under the MMPR....
some how does not seem like a sound investment....for those willing to put out 100's of thousands if not millions.....to get in on this endeavor

and a good majority of those who would purchase from the mmpr....have skewed the polls since they are also LP/patient wannabe's.
