What type of hood or reflector should I use??

I followed a thread where the folks measured light intensity on a grid for different air cooled reflectors - the Sun System 2 (6" air intake, not 8") was heads and shoulders the best. I picked one up after reading their data, seeing their grids. The glass gets dusty on an Air Cooled.

I'd like to try an Adjust-a-Wing for a non air cooled variable aperture reflector.

They open up on one side and are easy to wipe down.

GG is quite correct, a pair of hinges and spring loaded fasteners on the other side. Very easy to clean if you're into that kind of thing, it just kept getting past me and I'd check the glass and it'd be coated with dust, I never remembered to stay on top of it.

Does anyone use some type of dust filter on their air intake into their air cooled reflector?

The cover around the filter is full of dust, after each grow I vaccume it off. Lights and glass are pretty clean, but when I have to move things around I wipe it all down.

Hey guys great info I just ordered one lumatek 600 with sun system 2 hood with 6 inch exhaust and one 600 w hps eye hortilux bulb! Thanks for the tip GG13 and Hobbes + rep. Elephant bud is doing great in vegg room just topped it at 6th node to keep short. I learned from my first grow( they got too tall for my flowering room) I didn't top them. I vegged them for 5 weeks in bubbleponics tubs( 6 4 inch net pots in each).too crowded. I use bubble buckets now and I'm going to keep short and bushy. I'm currently using 400w hps in flowering room but this new light should be tons better!

Good stuff! Lumatek is a good ballast (digital?) and Hortilux is a great bulb (I've got one for every size ballast I have).

You're set up great.

Your going to be rockin the flower room with the Lumatek and hood for sure. You can get the lights very close after a few weeks of 12/12 and the trichs will pop.

Thanks hobbes and GG . Sorry it took me a while to respond been real busy! Yes I will be rocking the next flowering of the elephant clones! I've been reading lots of threads on cloning. I kind of confused which way I should actually do it! Should I take two clones of each elephant then flower the clone to see which plants are male female then keep the best two fem for mothers or should I take two clones off each plant root the clones and while the clones are rooting put the elephants I cloned off of in flowering room to see which clones are male and female and which ones are best to keep for the mothers??? And hopefully this weekend I'll post some pics of my flowering room 5 weeks into flowering and my 3 weeks old vegg room with elephant( they r looking fucking awesome) peace
