Im looking for some advice and help. I'll be going on vacation for 16 days in August and I'm not sure what to do with my 2 plants in my CFL cabinet.

My main concern is watering. Size of the plants will be under control and lighting will still be timed as usual. Any suggestions? Much appreciated and thanks in advance!

They also make these Terra Cotta U shaped bricks that you can pick up at Home Depot.

Basically, you stick one end in the dirt of your plant, then fill a bucket full of water and stick the other end in that. The water leeches through the terra cotta U from the bucket into the soil.

They actually do work.

Also, there is a product called water crystals that can suck up 300 times their weight in water. They kinda look like shards of plastic but all you do is soak them in water, then place them on top of the soil. Over time the soil extracts the H2O out of the crystals and down into the dirt.

Also sold at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. :)

hey thanks, i think the terra cotta thing will be the best solution because i still want to add nutes while im gone and the bucket might just do the trick. i guess ill have to do some testing with some products this month before i leave. + rep. thanks all.
