image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I'm in week 5 flower using kind nutes in coco. She's the only one doing this. The flowers are shriveled, the leaves turned down, and the bud stems are ridiculously swollen. Assumed it to be nute burn or ph problem so I flushed it. Hope I did right and that it will recover. Notice the stems of the plant itself are fine. It's the stem that the bud sits on that is huge and either makes the flowers look small or they're shriveled up. Anybody had this problem? I've never seen it. It's thc bomb btw.
 
Heat or light stress maybe? Is she taller than the others? What are your temps at canopy level? Do the others get more fan action?
 
It could be heat or light, but I don't think so. It's an open set up. The tops are at least 18" from the light, the temp stays under 80f, and she is a little taller and was in the back away from the fan, but I put her right in front of the fan a couple days ago when it first happened as I suspected the same. I don't understand why that would make the stems swell like that either? No burnt spots on the leaves or anything and it ain't bugs ... Making the bud stems swell? Anyway moving away from light and closer to fan didn't help... Got worse, so I flushed. If it is heat or light damage, is there anything I can do?
 
heat or light? no, not really.could it be wind burn? if you had fans right on her that only takes a day or two to show.
 
Flush seems to have helped. No it's not wind burn either. I think she soaked up some run off. 4 weeks left, I have many others, though she was the biggest. Had high hopes for her, but I'll do better next time.
 
Umm, I think u can see the leaves pretty clearly in the picture. U don't use cal mag with kind, besides, I know cal/mag deficiency and this is not it. It's not clawing, not overwatered. Dried it out before flushing, no response.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but no it won't recover. Damage has been done.

When you take pic, use flash or natural room light.

See my Plant Moisture Stress pin. Got butchered during the software change, but the principles are still there.

"kind" nutes does not convey anything of value. What's the analysis, how often and how much?

Not worth a crap - all hype. Why? In general all of those products are too low in N, too high in Ca, not complete (insufficient, incomplete micros package). To add insult to injury it's probably priced over the top and has some stupid feeding schedule to confuse the hell outta the typical newb.

Read up on plant nutrition and stop buying into this cannabis specific crap people! :wall:

Wow those are way low in N. GH Maxigro/Maxibloom are about as newb friendly as nutes come. It's also one of the best performing nutes and better on the wallet than most of the competition,except large bags of commercial nutes.
 
I'm not a newb folks, but thanks for ur input. I have had some n deficiency using kind. I chose it this time because ur not supposed to have to use cal/mag. The schedule is no more complicated than others I've used. Have some excellent results on the others, this is just one of 17 and like I said she's the only one. It's a nutrient/ph problem - I think she soaked up some nasty runoff from the others in that back corner. Had her elevated, but apparently not enough. She's looking better already. Stems are shrinking and returning to a level position along with the leaves. May not turn out wonderful, but not every bud on the plant looks like that. I just wanted to know if anybody had ever seen it before? Keeping her in front of the fans to dry her out just in case of moisture stress. I got this people, I know what I'm doing, calm down. Will give some extra n next time I feed. Btw, I feed/water when the plants need it. Don't follow a set schedule. I let the top inch or so get dry and alternate nutes and water. Never had this in three years of growing with good results and like I said it's just one. Chill out guys, smoke a joint or something.

There's no such thing as a newb friendly nute when it comes to this industry. They're gonna trip you up until you end up on a forum crying "why do my leaves curl, do they need epsom salts?" :)

kind is a name brand. I follow the instructions for amounts. Usually one feeding and one watering per week but get to where they need more later on. Starting about now usually.

Not that low in N. Didn't yellow until this happened and that pic is under hps. I know ur supposed to use ur flash, but I wasn't trying to get info on the color of the leaves, it's the appearance of the buds that concerns me.

I know what it is, I posted a link to it. It's crap with a buzz word that appeals to the gullible pot growing newbie - "kind". Well, it's not "kind" to your plants. :)

You can't follow any one's instructions regarding application. No two gardens are the same. Their instructions & feed charts are only designed to sell products. They know who they're selling to who don't know any better.
