OBAMA had nothing to do with drafting the legislation, pushing it through Congress. All he did was put his signature on it. Big fucking whoop. Suddenly he's the hero? BTW, it would have become law even if he DIDN'T sign it, as long as he didn't veto it.
Let's give him a cookie because he wanted to be on television, shall we?
He didn't do a thing but pick up a pen and smile for the cameras.
They've been TRYING to get this passed for years, but it's been continually blocked -first by a Republican congress and then by BUSH (who vetoed the bill after it finally passed Congress when the democrats took over the majority).
My argument was ALWAYS that he didn't cover all kids, and that HE didn't really do anything but sign a piece of paper on tv.

Social security will probably get rid of itself.
Public schools are funded under the threat of forfeiture of property and force. It would be nice if ths wasn't the case.

So basically you guys agree, nobody should influence the brain of a kid with political related stuff ... a kid's mind should remain free of all that propaganda as long as we believe in the constitution. Well cut the crap, it has and will never be like that, indoctrination techniques have been in place for ever and were used toward both kids and adults. People do not think on their own but according to the circumstances that surround their general education, most of it issued from indoctrination. And as they go along, they preach their belief and disrespect anybody with a different perspective. It is like half of their brain is missing! come on, aren't we supposed to live free and respect each other? who the fuck are you to try to convince me that this or that is better or worse? What is the problem if some decide to believe in communism, socialism, capitalism, Budha or Jesus? However the politician species depends on these controversies and this indoctrination to survive and gain power. You've been played and are too stupid to find out!
if you believe that your kid will be indoctrinated at school because of the next Obama tv show, don't send him to school! But realise that indoctrination is part or our everyday life. The today's indoctrination is not only political but comes also from the need of converting you in the best consumer ever. And what about taking your kids to church? that's indoctrination too but you probably call it education because you abide with that style of propaganda. Every morning and before the class start, kids repeat the pledge of alliance, this is more than indoctrination, it is brain wash but nobody cares to point it out. Why? because we believe it is a good thing to be that patriotic. Fact is to be patriotic in the U.S. is to accept and live with what ever our government comes with, ... excuse me but that's why million of people were killed during the past wars, because our government motivated by interest other than public safety deemed convenient to kill our fellow humans.

Us, as self conscience mind, we should start to refuse to depend on what we see or hear through the media and exercise common sense. I'm over the R or the D, they are all the same, a shame for the memory of the founders of this country.

That's probably a great subject for another thread. Prisons are today a way to enslave legally the population, the correctional system is not anymore designed to reform non conformist behavior but to be the source of profit. It doesn't take a degree to understand that the idea of giving rights to The People and specially this sense of Freedom as described in the Constitution is just an illusion. Funny enough, we like to go to the middle east and among the world to liberate the people from tyranny and dictators, who's gonna liberate us?
