What temps do cop choppers look for

can anyone help

do cops actually do that? I can't think of any legitimate story where cops flew around with an IR gun looking for grows. It's so expensive to fly choppers it doesn't seem worth their while.

yeah I think they have to have a search warrant in some situations or some really strong suspicion to do that.
