Hey Doc, welcome to RUI!

Most of these lists have to be taken with a grain of salt - few people reviewing strains have sampled enough strains to give a ranking and all marijuana strains will help somewhat. I'll post a few of the strains that I'm familiar with and a chart (grain of salt)

.

nausea
pain
sleep
anxiety
add
depression
restless leg syndrome
neoropathy

Hey Dork, welcome aboard RUI!

I've spent a fair bit of time researching the effects of various strains, looking for strains that give relief of symptoms for various ailments. Of the many strains available for pain I have this selection, each will help at different times of the day and in different ways. I suggest growing 2 or 3 strains (buying single seeds) and seeing which helps best for different types of need.

Jack The Ripper - Subcool (TGA Seeds):

I have a Spectrum of Effects report for Jack The Ripper linked at the bottom of this post, double click it and a new window will open with the report. Some of the highlights that you might be interested in:

I didn't notice the Jack The Ripper high until about my third bowl, hours later that day - it has a way of taking the mind into Imagination Land ... I become so forgetful I forget that I have a Volcano Bag sitting by my hand. Time and again, every bowl. This high that I'm getting from clear trichomed baked bud is as close to the spectrum of effects that I have found for my perfect high. It's the strongest bud I've ever had, and I have 23 strains in my garden now and have grown a couple dozen others that I didn't keep.

.

There's a lot of hype over TGA's (read Subcool as the public avatar) strains and the two biggest myths have been proven true for me: Jillybean has an overwhelming dreamcicle smell that fills the whole garden every time I brush against a plant; and Jack The Ripper is one of the strongest strains in existence.

.

6. Body: medicinal effects: I'm getting a root canal on a molar next week, I've got some ear and jaw pain that I've completely forgotten about until I read this section. The pain will be gone 3 seconds after I'm done this sentence.

Nausea: relieves
Pain: Excellent pain relief
Seizures: not sure, very relaxing on the muscles
Back: Excellent pain relief

Doc I've found that the simplest way to get the desired effects for multiple ailments is to combine marijuana extracts from several strains. This is what GW Pharmaceuticals does to make Sativex and can be done by caregivers and patients. It will allow a grower to focus on 3 or 4 strains while treating symptoms that fall outside the optimal effects of these strains.

If you're interested in this check out the CO2 subcritical extractor section in my Grow Lab thread linked below. There are many other ways to extract resin, I'm working on a simple non-alcohol sublingual tincture to give my lungs a rest. It's more difficult to titrate doses when absorbing through the gastrointestinal tract.
