What strain would you recommend for large yields fast?

Hi guys,

I'm assuming this post is in the right section.

I'm currently growing critical + in a 2.4 x 1.2m tent. They are looking great and about 6 weeks from harvest.

My aim is for quantity and fast. For my next tent which will be a 1.2m x 1.2m, I'm stuck between either, green poison, critical jack, or critical + again.

The 1.2m x 1.2m tent will be running a 600w HPS and about 16 plants doing SOG.

From your experience, what would you recommend given my goal?

Thanks!

I don't think that's the only thing to consider.
Genetics is just a small chip off the boulder.

But, it sounds like you are an experienced grower, so you prolly already know that.

I like either GG4 or DoSiDo.
60 day turn.

Purple punch. The only downside is that it's a little weak, so you're not going to like it from a proper stoner's perspective. From a grower's perspective, it's pretty great.

… My aim is for quantity and fast, but obviously something nice to smoke too …
You want quality … you want quantity … you want speed. You can only have 2 ...

Some suggestions for other good yielding and effective strains? I have become quite enamored with Barney's Farm Blue Cheese. I ordered a 3-pack of Blueberry seeds but they ran out and instead sent me the 3-pack of the Blue Cheese. It's a Blueberry/UK Cheese cross so they were 1/2 correct.

I figured I'd grow them and see if I liked them. I give the BC a resounding yes. 56 to 60 days from flower and they are done.

For an Indica dominant hybrid, it takes a long time for the "Indica-ness" to hit me. It comes about 2 hours later but it's a nice 2 hour ride. Out of a 2' x 2' area, I have pulled a smidge over 7 oz. of the Blue Cheese.

100% agree, but I'm talking more generally, I've actually got 5 gorrila zkittlez from barneys farm which I can't wait to add in to the next grow. Have been very tempted with the GG4 too just it doesn't yield quite as high as some others

I just took down a room full of GG4.
12-1000 watt Gavita DE's.
CO2
Jacks
65 days.

29.5 lbs finished and bagged.
GG4 can produce weight.
Can you tell I'm a fan?

And the trimmers have a tough time with it.
It gums up their scissors fast - we go thru a lot of 100% ETOH.

G13(s) Pineapple Express is fast finisher if you run them at 11/14, they will finish in 42 days. And the buds produced are super heavy weight-wise, very sugary, and the smoke is top quality. For example... I ran (2) runs recently, vegged for 30 days, and flowered for 45 days under 11.5/12.5, 6 plants, single topping at the 5th node, and no other working of the plants in no-till "real 3 gallon cloth pots" using 2 x 320 Alibaba KO(s) KingBrite(s) running at 180W each in a 5 x 5 area, (3 plants under each light), which yielded 38 zips the first run and 36 zips the second run in 75 days from seed. I have also done one 60 day veg run using 7 gallon cloth pots using 3 x 320 Alibaba KO(s) KingBrite(s) running at 180W each in a 4 x 6 area, (2 plants under each light), and that yielded 56 zips in 105 days from seed.

I can tell you are a fan HB.

I need three pair of scissors to trim. I can't get through two branches without the scissor tips being coated in resin. Two pair are soaking while I am trimming with the third one.

And I get a pretty good buzz from holding the branches while trimming.

Ah … canna-problems!

It's an awful problem to have.
I got one trimmer; she has about two dozen scissors. She has this container that is kind of square, and she puts one pair at the top and takes a pair out of the bottom about every 30 - 40 seconds. Half full of 100% ETOH.
She does 3 lbs a day - every day.

Yea, I like GG.
She is a wonderful plant.

My girl dry trims about 3 pounds a day (in about 6 hours). She uses 2 pairs of chikamasa scissors and changes them out every 30 minutes or so to the alcohol cup. The chikamasa's have a wider tolerance so they don't gum up as fast and start sticking and clumping. I didn't know what I was missing till I tried some and then my girl took them over lol (fine by me, I hate trimming). She usually gets through a 55 pound harvest pretty quick for one person.

3 lb. in about 6 hours? Yowzah!! I need between 3 and 4 hours to trim about 3/4 lb. The finger holes on those Chikamasa scissors look to be a good size. My thumbholes are too small and the thumb always gets stuck in the ones I use. Those of us with beefy mitts should use a pair.

I hear you there Renfro - trimming bites! These current girls won't be ready for their manicures until a little over 1 week into December and I am already starting to convince myself that it has to be done.

Good 60's and 70's rock tunes should be part of ones trimming toolkit.
