what size hps do i need ??

hey guys im new this is my first post not even sure if im posting in the right place.. this is my first grow and im pretty sure i have plenty of light in my veg room but im not sure what to go with for the flower its roughly 2 1/2 ft. wide by 5 1/2 ft. tall by 2 ft. width im using a dwc drip system (6 site) im thinking maybe a 400hps ?? maybe thats to much tho ... please help out a new friend

Hello! I don't know how much do you need. I just know that I have pretty good fight with heat. I have 300w HID + some 160W CFLs + fluoros. I have nearly the same size cab. Mine is 40cm by 60cm but it it higher. total height is 2m

250 watt hps would be the safest if you want to run hid lighting, if you run a cooltube with a good extraction fan you might get a 400 watt hps to work for you.

I dont think 400 is too much at all as long as you vent out your hot air.

hey guys thanks sorry i havent been on all day i been puttin the finishing touches to the cab. ill have pics up soon im not sure where to put them so ill prob just post em on this thread and yeah i was planning on running a cool tube and venting the heat for sure .. im pretty sure im just gonna get a nice ballast that i can turn it down and throw a 250w bulb in it thanks guy looking forward to posting the rest of my grow

No it looks like you won't need 250w if there is good fan 400w is the right bulb. Your cab looks two times bigger than mine. What about reflecting surfaces? Are you going to do something?

Where is your hot/stale air going? what are your temp highs/lows? Are the plantts getting fried?

yeah im waiting on 4x50 ft of mylar im going to do the whole cab. in ill post pics when its in shoulda been here the 9th so hopefully tomo!!!!! and ill also post a couple pics of the actual room there is already a vent going right outside into large bushes .. i will def need some help routing the fan and filter and all that so maybe someone has some ideas for me ?? do i need to vent both rooms ??

what size hps do i need ??
