What size Fan & Filter do i need?

So i’m looking at getting a Vivosun Grow tent
5x2x6.67 Tent (60”x32”x80”)
What size Fan and Carbon filter would i need?
Also wanting to get a smaller tent for Seedlings/Clones and Drying
(30”x18”x36”) What size Fan and Carbon filter would i need for this one to?
I would guess a 4 Inch fan & Filter.
I’m new to this so any tips would also be nice!

I actually JUST bought that same exact tent. I love the 60x32 size. Seems like vivosun is the only one that makes it. I have two 315 cmh lights in it. I have a 8'' AC infinity fan and filter in it (because thats just what i had laying around) and running at about 75% seems to work pretty good. If i was starting from scratch, i would buy a 6'' vortex VTX fan and 6x39 Phat filter. The bigger the better when it comes to fans and filters. A 6'' fan running at 50% will be virtually silent and move just as much air as a 4'' fan running 100% while sounding like a fucking jet engine.

Would a Vivosun 6 inch work? bc i’m not tryna dump a ton of money into it right now. or would i need a 8 inch with a vivosun fan n filter

Spend your money on the filter. Ive bought about a dozen fans and filters and learned all my lessons the hard way.

If you are on a budget, get this setup:

Fan

Filter

Duct

25' is 23$ but only get what you need.

That hydrofarm fan you posted is a good fan but you need a 50$ VARIAC speed controller to run it properly. where the cheap vivosun fan i posted has a built in speed controller that does work- not amazing, but it works.

A good filter will cause minimal restriction on your fan and ultimately help the fan last longer and because the good filter is so much bigger than the cheap ones, it will last much much much longer.

I'd buy the hydrofarm 6 inch in picture above instead of the vivosun fan.

Vivosun fan and filters aren't very good, but I've had several of those green hydro farm fans and never had an issue.

The cost of the ac infinity might be worth it tho cause a day night thermostat is expensive if you had planned on using one.

I cant afford that filter i have $300 budget right now. for the tent fan and filter and nutrients or whatever else i need. until i can save up more money.
will i be fine with a Vivosun Fan and Filter combo? the 6 inch 390 CFM. i’m only starting out with maybe 3 plants max right now. and i may go down to the 4x2x5 vivosun tent

BTW i already have the viparspectra P600 95W Grow light.
So all i need now is Tent, Fan and Filter, Nutrients, PH Stuff and other small things that come up.

ac infinity is overpriced junk. Exhaust needs to run 24/7. Vivosun filter suck. The fans are you-get-what-you-pay-for. Built in speed control. Noone wants to listen to any fan running at 100%. No one.

Ive had 2 vivosun filters plug up personally and a friend has had the same experience. fans plugging up in the middle of a grow can be a complete fucking disaster. like overheat and kill everything.

My veg and "for fun" new vivosun 60x32 tent.

The for fun tent has 600$ worth of lights alone.....

Not to mention electric bills....

This is not a cheap hobby.

Will a Vivosun 4x2 Tent with a VIVOSUN 6 Inch 390 CFM Inline Fan with Speed Controller and the Carbon filter with it work?
I’ll only be starting out with 1-3 plants max at first and i’ll slowly be upgrading stuff over time

Vivosun filters tend to plug up fast. And dont get the 390 fan, they are junk.

If you have to get a vivosun filter/fan comobo, get this.

Okay will this work for maybe like 2-3 grows? till i can upgrade?
also when i do upgrade is AC infinity really all it’s made out to be and worth upgrading to in future?
Ive had some last weeks, ive had some last years. Roll the dice....

No AC infinity is way overpriced. Vortex VTX are the best fans out there. 10 year warranty.
