what should i use??

Should i use rope or chains to hang my 600 watt hps witha 10 pound aircooled reflector?

Either will work just fine - it's all personal preference really. Personally, I find chains easier than a rope/pully system.

Id go chains - its easier to raise/lower them as needed if u leave the end link bent open..

Ive always used chains, i don't trust the ropes. or you could get them yo yos they're pretty sweet.

I use the Yo-Yo on my 400W & Fluro, but i use chains for my 1000W. 10Lbs may b a bit much for the Yo-Yo 2 handle.. Last thing u want is to come home and find the Yo-Yo has failed u, dropped ur light, smashed it & burnt 1/2 ur house down..
