What should I expect?

Be nice, I'm posting in the newbie section for a reason. Lol. I just never had a male, so my curiosity got the best of me.

Maybe harvest seeds at the point? Idk lol
Gotta add the male pollen to female flowers.

Your best bet is to collect as much pollen as you can in some kind of small airtight container, label it, and freeze it.

Can then use it at a later date with a female plant. Can use a cotton swab to brush some pollen onto a small section of a female plant to produce seeds.

But that grow space is now "infected".. any female plant you put in that space for a longggg time will have seeds if you dont sanitize it

Ty. It's been isolated so to not affect the growing space. But, will be sanitizing regardless.
Also, dont go near your females after you have been in there. You will pollinate them more than you would want to. Pollen gets everywhere. Change your clothes and wash your, everything, wash everything.
A friend of mine was getting drunk and high one night and went in to check on a small male. It had opened flowers on it, which was what he was waiting for. He just was going to pollinate a couple of buds when it was ready. And decided he would collect the pollen the next day... Then he went into the flowering room....
The next day he did collect the pollen and intended to use it on a couple of buds of that same type once they were ready. But that trip he made from one room to another without changing clothes and washing up left him with a bunch of seeds on the ones already flowering. Well, he didn't intend to make those. And there were a lot of them. Luckily the cross came out pretty good. But man oh man was he picking seeds out of buds for a long time (we still have a bunch, lol). And the next two grows still had seeds showing up. He had to sanitize everything.
Just be careful.

When I collected pollen, I stuck the branch into a jar and shook it to get the pollen off. Rinse and repeat with as many branches as you want. After I was done, I sprayed the whole male down with water to kill any left over pollen

Spray your closet down with a hose. Pollen hates water.

Don't really do that btw. I'm joking.

Use a super soaker. :bigjoint:

Male plants are only good for breeding a female plant. Your not gonna get weed off of it. Only a bunch of pollen.

Please for the love of God dont take that thing outside unless its in a sealed trash bag. You can cause some serious issues for your fellow outdoor growers.

Clean, clean again and then clean one more time. Consider everything contaminated, lights, fans, pots, trays, heaters anything in the same area. What a huge mess!
