What on earth??? What happened to these seeds??

Ok, I planted some seeds in some soil. I did this before, and got growth. But this time, nothing, and its been Almost 2 months. So, I figure I will sacrifice one to see whats going on. So, I slowly dump the soil out and spread it around on the table gently. I find the seed hull....but NOTHING else. No roots, no sprout, NOTHING. It was just as if I planted a hull. But it was NOT just a hull that I planted. It was a live seed. I am SO confused. What the hell happened??

Some sort of insect possibly eating the seed embryo?

the worms got it. i've had this happen before. little microscopic worms that eat plant matter. bastards.

next time use a different soil. one without worms

LoL they MUST have been microscopic. But the soil was store bought, not supposed to have worms

maybe you got empty seeds!! lol

did you germinate the seeds? if you didn't, you can not say for sure if they were viable or not.

No, I didnt. The reason was because when I tried to germinate some seeds before, they dried out on me. But when I planted them, they grew. So I figured to just try to plant them this time. But came up with nothing.

in relation to this topic Ive just put my seeds in soil, about 1/2" deep. Been there for about 30 hours now. How long to expect to see them?? (they are germinated by the way)
