Hiya
Ive been using Canna (actually both Hydro and Aqua) veg and bloom but to be honest my last few grows have gone tits up (over/underfeeding, lockout) and im thinking of switching to General Hydrophonics veg bloom and micro.
Im sure the issues i had were my fault, im sure canna is fine but still im curious to try something new.
What are you all using?
Cheers!

I've only used one brand spanning back to the mid 90s. Never had a reason to switch. The stuff just plain works and without all the hype. Dyna-Gro (Pro-Tekt, Grow, Bloom, and Mag-Pro). I've always done small grows but its never let me down.

I have used a few. Miracle grow regular and bloom, Dyna-Grow, Grow and Bloom plus Pro-tekt, Jacks 20-10-20 citrus feed, And Maxi Bloom.
I have had the best results with Maxi Bloom and a little Pro-Tekt for added silicon and a little more N.

general hydro ? ewwww.
When my brother started growing he started with fox farms and general hydro with HPS lights. all his plants always looked healthy and frosty and would produce dense frosty nugs but the quality of the smoke was always lacking. i was never happy with his end quality. the minute he switched to Advanced nutrients and Metal Halide lights with UV his end quality skyrocketed! if you want a 3 part base like micro grow bloom dont roll general hydro roll advanced nutrients you will get better quality buds. everyone hates on advanced nutrients but imo theyre the best ferts available!

everyone hates on advanced nutrients because they are ridiculously over priced!! And yes, I have used it before.

"the minute he switched to Advanced nutrients and Metal Halide lights with UV his end quality skyrocketed." hmmmmmm.

I am using the GH - micro- grow- bloom
Supplementing with GH cal mag, GH Florilicious plus and GH Liquid Koolbloom with good results-
I also use Element Nutrients Complete Crop with the myco and Flower Fuel
PH every batch before application
I started out using the GH products listed above and had decent results- I decided to supplement with the Element Nutrients myco and the plants went crazy immediately- I had not used any myco.
So I then decided to get the 3 part line- complete crop- myco- flower fuel.
I have been going a week with one and switching the next week.
My opinion is that the plants have been growing faster and larger with this method.
I had some lockout late on a grow using just the GH 3 part -likely due to the salts buildup-so my thought was to switch it up so the plant wasn’t seeing the exact same nutrients from seedlings to harvest. It has worked well and after this group I will be switching to flowering earlier-probably around 6-7 weeks veg instead of my past harvests going 8-10 weeks in veg-
This group I had trouble getting seeds to pop.
I would plant 12 and only get a couple survivors, so I had to go a few rounds to get a group of 8. Now I have plants that are a month or more apart in the same room so I had to switch when the youngest plants were ready -based on the size and maturity.
I have learned that although the older plants are taller- they have the same size and number of tops as the younger plants- so the extra time I was vegging was not hurting anything- except using more- time, nutrients and electricity to get likely the same results quantity wise.
The Element line is also a dry product so it is easier to use than measuring the GH liquid nutes using different syringes to measure everything - ☮

Master Blend
4-18-38
15.5-0-0-Calcium Nitrate
Epsom Salts

I use it or the complete grow. No switching to any kind of bloom formula. I think switching to a bloom formula is a monsy grab, especially those that recommend cutting Nitrogen in flowering.

I used to use Hydro Gardens

4-20-39
15.5-0-0
Epsom Salts

But Hydro Gardens went out of business last month because of supply chain issues. They had been in business since 1965, and made all kinds of Plant Specific Fertilizers since the 1970s. As you can see the Master Blend is extremely close to the marijuana formula from Hydro Gardens. Hydro Gardens also made an 4-18-38 formula and was used for tomatoes. Same as Master Blend uses for Tomatoes.

I’ve tried so many different ones and still have most of them but the easiest I’ve found that produces great quality is GH flora nova bloom start to finish with a touch of cal/mag and Epsom. But I don’t recommend it in a drip system it’s dirty
