What makes the ph go up really fast?

Does anyone know what makes the ph go up from 5.2 - 7.4 overnight . I have a Growclone cloner and my ph goes up within hours of lowering it. It says to use spring water so I do. I have used this cloner for over a year and this is the first time Ive had this issue. I tried switching to tap but its still the the same. Do you guys think distilled will work and do you add something to the water like calmag if you do ! Thanks for any input!!

Any light getting to the reservoir? I found taking care of that can help to stablilize PH.

pH goes up because the plant is essentially shitting itself into the resevoir. A little H202 every now and then helps keep those bacterias from fluctuating the pH so much.

You should also flush your system pretty regularly to keep salts (plant shit) from building up in your res.

agreed found this out with gallon jugs... i ph'd them and put them on a shelf in my veg room... measured again 3-4 days later and ph was up 1-2 per jug

the ph goes up as the plant takes in water, increasing ppm and ph readings..imo
