what kind of bulbs do i get for a grow box?

Im setting it up in an Armoire... was just confused about the wattage of the bulbs and about how many... im thinking four... I also read that i should have two different sets... one for Vegetation(lower?)... and other for flower(higher?)...
 
you will want about 100w of cfls per plant, not 100w equivalent, (4)26 watt "100w" bulbs
 
There is alot of good info on this site reading will answer your questions on what you want soil/hydro size of grow space and lights and ventilation. not to be short some one will help soon but reading helps.

Go pick yourself up a 2 foot 4 bulb T5, then pickup your grow bulbs for now, and when you are ready to flower pickup a set of bloom bulbs. Any hydro store will sell them, you can also find them online in many different locations, hydro stores, ebay etc...

Here's one for $85+shipping, and the bloom bulbs are cheap too. Locally would be the way to go though, but for people like me, we don't have hydro shops around here :P

it depend of the dimesions of the box, the relation is, for example for a 400watts hps lamp for flowering you need 3 squared feet see

I have a lil less than 3 squared feet and I use 600w on 4 plants :P

Been doing a lot of reading... guess i'm just saving time by posting...figure i can get more answers to my questions in shorter span of time... kinda the reason da newbie forum was created...what im thinkin... thanks for the advice tho

yeah you culd have a big lamp for 4 tall plants if you are kinda lazy, but you get more production using more plants (not so tall, SOG), in the same space with the 400w that only penetrates 3 feet at its maximum potential. using a 600w in less than 3 squared feet is an unnecessary light contamination. im just curious. why do you have only 4 plants in that space? do you scrog?
 
im saying to use smaller containers but more little plants or maybe you could use taller but thinner containers.
