MMMM you made me want candy. I prefer almond joys but I don't want my hash looking like them lol. Heres some pics from my last batch yesterday. I got some purging right now in some water that is exactly 125 degress. I keep making hot water in my coffee pot and pour it in when its 125. Trying to keep temps low and what not just trying different things with what I have at the moment. I do mean to buy a griddle at some point or another. But right now I'm happy with my product and I know I'll be much happier when I master it. The pic on the wax paper weighs 1.05. I'm stoked I got my 1st full g out of a batch. Of course each batch I make I leave the extra I can't get off the corners. Is it bad if I keep using the same dish with the hash stuck all on the corners over and over again or should I wash after each go? Very much enjoying my own homemade hash... a lot. I haven't given my hash dealer a single cent all week he may not be too happy about it (I'm his best customer buying a 1/16th every 2 days of bubble) but I'm much more satisfied with my oil. At some point though I will run out of trim leaf and have to go back to him. At the moment I got a clone of the purple god bud I've been making this hash with I plan to veg it until next season and put it out around april/may. I want to get my 1st lb off a plant next . Anyway when I do run out of trim I'm gunna start buying the 20 a 1/8th semi seedy green weedy that is around NH rampantly, and make some oil out of that. I'm pretty sure the mids will get better hash than the trim I've been getting even though you can by eye see way more trichomes on the trim leaf. Everyone says the better the product going in the better the hash coming out. So if I'm correct if I dried and cured those trim leafs properly they wouldn't get me as high as the mids, therefore the hash made from the mids should get me more medicated, correct?

buy a pair of forceps from wal mart for 8$ to squeeze onto that razor blade... that must be why people hate scraping so much, theyre doing it wrong. I do my whole dish in under 1 minute, 2 scrapes, less than .1% wasted.

and no un-scrappable corners with these 6$ wal mart stainless steel dishes. you also dont need to worry about breaking them when purging an ice cold liquid in a very hot liquid.




dont need to clean the dish everytime, but I clean my blade.

Harvesting in 2-3 weeks. Think I wont be making some urrrge! Mang vac I am drooling over your 3 mustateer bar! That kinda bowl you got (stainless) seems to be the ideal way for the exact reason you stated,i get super nervous anytime im playing with hot /cold and using glass. I'm going stainless for sure.

if you like those pics... what do you think of these ones?

So this mornin the oil it still in a hard sap state, but there still alot of bubbles, I'm pretty sure there just air bubbles but put the oil in vac again and heated/flattened it a couple times, got rid of some of the bubbles but I noticed my chamber reeked like terps, so wondering if I should heat these bubbles out or if i can leave em, I'm pretty sure it's not solvent

haha ive said it a million times and ill say it again.... I tore that whole chunk apart in 1 cubic mm pieces (turned that 1 chunk into about 400 small pieces) and couldnt find another single spec of that mold looking stuff.

I believe that where we broke the puck in half, there was already a tiny crack at that part (which is why it broke there) and because of that crack, maybe a few tiny mold spores were able to form??? I dont know, those were the only two specs though.

Had the opportunity to blast some more afgha Kush tonight but had no dry ice so just did my Normal method and havin the 2 batches side by side the freezepurged stuff it definatly noticably tastier, dont think ill be using much heat to purge anymore...

Ok I got a problem I did another iso run with some trim and fan leaves and I did get some hash. It looked normal and all but when I smoked it the half smoked ash of it turned a rusted copper bluish green color. It tasted pretty bad, but did get me high after a hit, but I haven't smoked it since I'll put a pic up its confusing the shit out of me I've done everything the same except I got a different brand of ISO I went from Rite Aid ISO to CVS ISO. Could it be something in the alcohol?

Its not the iso, and like vacpurge I've purposely smoked "under purged" iso.. but and this is important, there is a difference between rubbing alcohol and iso, do not use denatured alcohol or the dyed rubbing alcohol, .normally green or blue

I have no idea what would cause your ash to be a different color....a picture would help, I'm curious

I didn't take ne pics of the oil itself but that one but I took that pic the second I seen that I wasn't sure what was going on. I threw the whole batch away. And the bottles I get have no dye in them they say isopropyl rubbing alcohol 91% its clear and looks and smells exactly the same as the other brand. Its weird though its almost the same color as the pipe I was smoking it out of.

How did you prepare the hash, it turned color from the high heat? That's definitely not good lol, my mind instantly thinks of copper or other substances that turn that color when heated or oxidized...none are good
