Whatcha gonna put in the pots for medium? I have a suggestion; rabbit/hamster bedding wood chips. When researching hydro medums I found this from here;

"Simply wood. Great and efficient media for hydroponics. If you want to go truly organic with your growing media...you can't get any better than wood chips! Additionally, some studies have indicated that wood chips reduce the effect of plant growth regulators, meaning your plants may grow slightly larger."

Walmart carries it. Cheaper than other mediums. Make sure it's the pine type though, not cedar which is toxic to plants. And make sure it's the 100% natural type with no additives.

Coco would probably work great to fill them or you could use a shit load of hydroton (clay balls). Nutrients are your choice and more expensive is not always better. I dont use an airstone but you can to keep things well mixed, again your choice. What are you running for lights. Do you have an ECand PH meter?
