Endless possibilities on what you can do if you take the right steps. Do it right and take it one step at a time. Perfect the art the way they show you , then you modify it to work better for you but still quality work.
WTF. How does that work, I post and than 2 seconds later theres a post under mine that's apparently 3 hours later.. :weed:

If you dont mind me asking, hows that working for you and howd you get started?
I got the idea from a woman who opened 3 stores in 3 years around my hometown area. Whenever I went to one of her shops it was busy(and I grew up in a small town of 30,000ish)

Its not hard to get started, just Google "bent and dent/salvage grocery wholesale distributors" to see if there are any located in your area. If you find some then call them up and ask for tours. Search for any stores in your state(or if you live close to the border of other states) and drive and take a look at them.

Its relatively cheap to start up(cost me around $15k), the biggest thing is just finding shelving and a place big enough to store a lot of canned/boxed foods and learning how to price everything.

From the sounds of it, i would say it could work in alot of low income areas ( doesn't have to be the ghetto, just where income is average and people are always looking for a ways to save some change without sacrificing on quality/food products etc. +REP for you sir:blsmoke:

My business is located 100 yards from a pretty big mobile home community and its set right around a lower income neighborhood.

Its a perfect set up for lower income people. I plan on opening 2-3 more stores in the next 5 years in the same kind of areas here.

the biggest annoyance with my business is when I get a shipment of food in, I'll have 3 employees plus myself digging through about $5k(my purchase price from wholesale) worth of food and trying to price them accordingly.

It can take me up to 3 days to get it done(and I'm talking 10-12 hour days) Once I get used to all the products and get a feel for average pricing it will definitely help...but right now its so goddamn annoying.
