What is this?

I hear you :( right now I'm pondering buying diatomaceous earth as I understand thrips need to circulate between the plant and the soil during their life cycle, and a using a hydrogen peroxide solution to spray them all over, seems to me the best compromise..

Two plants in flowering for 6 weeks now, both plants started develping these symptoms of discoloration. Tips are affected as well... Texture is fine and no growths are observed, checked for mites and funguses and I didn't find anything..
Thanks in advance! :)

Hey all, just got the diatomaceous earth (DE) today. meanwhile, spraying hydrogen peroxide didnt do the trick on its own. I put some of the DE in a ring around the main stem but i'm having second thoughts as to pulverizing the plants with it.... I'm in late flowering 1-2 weeks to go and don't feel comfortable spraying buds with something we're not supposed to ingest.
Has anyone had any experience with applying DE in flowering ? thanks in advance

Try and keep any spray off your buds man, I used neem for a mite infestation during flowering, at harvest i rinsed the girls with ph water with a good shake, dried them with a fan for an hour before hanging......The smoke is really good but the taste....not so good.
